Hello!

If you have discovered that surgical clips were left inside you after gallbladder surgery, you should contact the surgeon who performed the procedure or the hospital where the surgery was performed. You can also consult with your primary care physician or a specialist who can refer you to a surgeon.

In most cases, the surgeon who performed the original procedure will remove the surgical clips. They will evaluate the situation and determine the best course of action for removal. Depending on the type of clip, its location and any potential complications, the surgeon may opt for surgical or non-surgical removal.

It is important to address the situation promptly, as leaving surgical clips inside your body can cause complications such as inflammation, infection or pain.

Have you got the removal yet?
