I just recently tried loperamide as a way to manage opiate withdrawal, and to my surprise it worked! I wasn't expecting it to work at all, but I took some and within about an hour or so, I felt better... The only drawback was that initially it felt pretty strong, like how dilaudid gives you that feeling like your whole body is buzzing, only it lasts 10x longer than dilaudid does.... It took away that whole jittery, shaky feeling, and that feeling like you want to peel your skin off was gone.... Best part, I felt completely normal... None of that depersonalization feeling you get when you are in the throes of detox... So, my advice, if you are looking for a quick way to detox without the horrific side effects, try it.... Be careful though, it can give you a slightly heavy sleepy feeling so, no driving if possible, and don't make a habit of using it... It does have an opioid in it, and can become addictive....first thing I did was take a 200 mg tagament, and then 30 minutes later I took 15 2 mg lopes, 15 minutes later, I took another 15.... Before I knew it, I was feeling much better, and was able to play with my daughter, and cook dinner.... So that's my story, good luck to anyone thinking of trying this, and I would be happy to answer any questions.... Please do not look at my comment as some sort of advice for just anyone... Research it as much as possible, just like with any chemical, it will effect people differently... Be safe!
