Lo Loestrin Fe is based (as usual) on 4 weeks (28 days) with the last pills being inactive. What dosage are you having? Even if you have only just started and 16th Jan was your 8th day, you should still be covered, as the advice is to use alternative contraception for the first 7 days. Your cycle becomes 28 days, and you probably don't ovulate nor have no fertile days.

Sorry for the grammar (edited the sentence wrongly)! Last sentence should read:
Your cycle becomes 28 days, and you probably don't ovulate nor have any fertile days.

For actually getting pregnant there is a strong possibility because of the timing, but you are now right at the edge of the time limit for the 5-day pill, and probably too late. You only have 120 hours. But you could try, but you should always get professional advice before you take it. If you ovulated 18th Jan, the egg probably arrives in your womb tomorrow (24th) and implantation could take place any time over the next week.

I'm not sure m the dosage but it's basically just the lowest possible. Just enough to keep my hormones in balance. But from what I'm understanding, my chances of becoming pregnant are extremely low?

Not quite. There's a high chance you could become pregnant, but not necessarily tomorrow. More likely 27th. Even if your egg was fertilised, there is no guarantee that implantation will take place at all. Many try to get pregnant and fail to do so.

The usual strength is 10mg, and it should be stated on the packet information. Lo Loestrin Fe is a low dose pill anyway. I think your chances of getting pregnant are pretty low. Let me know how you get on.

Dear Memo. Don't throw current medication packaging away. All drugs should be kept with their instructions until finished. If you had to have medical treatment, the professionals would need to know what you are taking. Presumably you go back to your doctor again soon?
