I’m 4 months post op tonsillectomy and my throat hurts, sometimes I have dry and itchy throat

It was a looong time ago for me, almost 70 years. I was in 5th grade and they got nearly all of us in the hospital on the first Saturday of April vacation so we'd have a week to heal up before going back to school. It was weeks before I could eat solid food and my throat bothered me for months. I was just learning to play the trunpet and I could no longer play because I couldn't keep the air from blowing out my nose. When we went back in the Fall it was like learning to play all over again but for the most part I was back to normal.
