Im a 12 year old girl and i haven't gotten my period yet

Hi honey! at 12 you are still heading into this phase - puberty lasts from about 12 to 19! And your period can start at any time - but usually around 13! No one can tell you EXACTLY when you are going to start! BUT the things to look out for are hair growing on your arm pits, hair growing on your groin, and breasts starting to grow - they call them "buds" when they are just starting off! You might also get cramping, notice that you are VERY teary and get upset easily! And you might have a little spotting of brown discharge here and there! When you grown hair on your arm pits, usually a period happens within 6 months of that! And also know this due to the fact that it can be upto 19 years old, your breasts might not grow until later on in puberty! It is very important to wear a good supportive training bra, and eat healthy, and wash your skin thoroughly twice a day! IF you keep ontop of your skin and showering etc. You will be less likely to get scar forming acne! - Which also can start before a period! Many young girls ask their moms when they started - as this can show when you MIGHT have yours too! And IF you start showing signs, ALWAYS carry protection - pads (wrapped in discreet wrappers) because when you are just starting your period, it can happen at ANY time, and catch you TOTALLY off guard! ALL women have horror stories of being caught off guard with their periods! Just start carrying a purse, and then when it's time put several pads in the purse - so you are ready! Hope this helps!
