It could also be a torn nerve or some kind of tear inside your anus. I got this for the first time today. I'm a 27 year old male. I had a big meal today and I felt constipated, so it took a long time for anything to come out. I think I strained after a while and I might've torn something inside. I looked at my feces and the feces had bright red, like a light red spread with dark feces of course. I guess this freaked me out right away, so I was going to waste as I usually go don't go to the doctors right away, but I decided to walk a few blocks over to a community hospital that's close to where I live. I went into the ER, spent a couple hours there. Had a doctor examine me anyways (Yay for Canadian free health care). They did the usual things, checked my blood pressure, temperate, had me do a urine sample. The doctor then came in, examined my anus and inside, then he asked if he can stick a finger in to check, he did that real quick, then said to me that I look fine, there was only a little bit of blood left and it might've just been a bit of a torn nerve.
He wrote me a prescription for ointment and told me I can go pick that up. I also asked him if it happens again should I worry, and he told me to keep an eye out for it for a couple days before coming in, and if it continues after a couple days then I can come in to get it checked further. I plan on picking up the ointment tomorrow since I went later tonight so most things are closed when I was done.
I felt really sleepy after coming back and ended up napping for almost 2 hours. My stomache feels a little strange, and when i woke up i felt like I really had to go #2, so I sat there, I tried not to strain, but nothing solid came out. I stood up and looked into the toilet and the only thing that came out was light red blood that filled the toilet. It got me worried again but at least I knew I could pick up ointment tomorrow. I wiped several times, hoping there wouldn't be as much blood, and I kept wiping, and fortunately after a few wipes I didn't see anymore specks of blood on the toilet paper. I feel a little bit better now, my stomach still feels somewhat weird, but I'm afraid to try and go #2. I might wait until I pick up the ointment tomorrow at least and see how well it goes from there. My greatest fear is losing too much blood, but I think as long as the blood loss isn't done constantly, we can afford to lose some bad blood as our heart pumps back in new blood.

Do you eat hot or spicy foods? I love to eat them, but it seems i have a sensitive system so when i do i sometimes get blood with my poop or i see it on the toilet paper. It doesn't happen all the time so if that is the same case for you i wouldn't worry about it to much at your age.

Do you happen to drink a large coke or other caffeinated drink, when you eat Mcdonalds?

I'd suggest consulting a doctor.. It could possibly mean something is either cut inside, or it is infected.
At first I thought I was popping blood today, but instead, it was just spicy cheetohs. Lmao.

I have been experiencing the exact symptoms for 10 years... I'm 31. I was hospitalized back in 2013 for 5 days due to a small car accident where they realized my blood levels (hemoglobin, hematocrit, WBC) we horribly low. I had to get 2 blood transfusions. Doctors could not pin point the bleeding during a colonoscopy and endoscopy, so after my levels starting going up they sent me on my way. The bleeding seems to come and go, but it's back again with a vengeance. It's rather discouraging, I have no insurance, so I cannot rack up even more expenses. Every time I go now the toilet is filled with apparent blood and it takes a half roll of TP just to stop the bleeding. When I wipe, it's appears initially as big blood blobs. I am wondering if you will see this and can let me know what has happened with you or what doctors have said to you. If you don't see this, anyone that is experiencing this please post.
Others who don't experience this as often or ever, please don't continuously suggest go to the doctor/ER, for I ALREADY KNOW THAT....please just give suggestions to similar stories/experiences.
