I'm 22 years old, infertile and I'm sexually active.
I started my period when I was a few months shy of turning 13. For about the first 6 months, I had normal 5-7 days period with none to minor cramps. Then those days turned to 10-15 days and the cramps started to worsen. Over time, my period started to get heavier and heavier. This became my normal cycle. The days would be off by a 3-4 days, but I would definitely get my period.
When I was 16, I started what I thought to be a normal cycle. However, that cycle lasted an approximate 5 weeks and 2 days. I went to my doctor and found out I had imbalanced hormones. I was placed on birth control pills that would help my hormones but prevent pregnancy. I stayed on them for 3 months and I went back to the normal cycle.
Now, I'm 22. I have not had any birth control pills, shots or anything that would prevent me from getting pregnant. A couple of weeks ago, I had my period for 6.5 weeks. It went from regular to heavy to light, then the same route. In the last 2 weeks, there were lots of odd brown spots. I would even get just brown with very light pink. I figured maybe it was just very old blood. It made sense after 6.5 weeks of having my period. But the sudden 6.5 weeks still unravels me as with the 5 weeks.
Now 2 weeks later, I'm having odd brown spotting again. There is no pink or red. I'm not supposed to be on my period for another week.
Can anyone explain what is going on with my body? Getting pregnant is impossible and these weird cycle is draining me out.

Hi:
How do you know that you are infertile and that it is "impossible" for you to get pregnant? Did a doctor tell you that or are you assuming so be cause you have not gotten pregnant with unprotected sex. If this has not been confirmed by a doctor, you are taking a big risk and making a big assumption. Please get that confirmed if you have not already. There could be a lot of reasons for your irregularity: hormones, stress, etc. Please let me know what you've found out since your post. I hope that you have answers and I hope that you are doing a lot better.
