I went to a party this past weekend and drank heavily as well, but I was not drinking a lot of water so i was most likely dehydrated too. My lips didn't get all red, they look normal but just feel very strange and annoying kind of like a mixture of a numb, dry, and itchy feeling. Any treatment to make it go away faster?

I also have the same problem. That's if I drink two days in a row. At times it happens two days later. I would be excessively thirsty and one glass of super cold water my lips get inflamed.

I have suffered from a side effect of drinking which was skin layers from my palm getting ripped by itself. There was no pain but still was irritating. It was in college during my initial drinking days. The condition stopped after some time and nowadays I am happily drinking. Cheers!

Same! I got it too. It must be because of the alcohol.. It happened to me 5 times after some shots.. the fifth, i tried to only take 1 shot, the next day my lips became red and full as if i got lipfillers and the next day it started to dry up at the edges.. next, they peeled up but the burning sensation still there.. it started to dry up my whole lips!

One day i purchased this mouth spray (*not that i have a bad breath, but just trying out this product). Then the next day the burning sensation came again and my whole lips turned red and dry. The line of the lips is the most painful. Then I saw the ingredients, and saw it contains alcohol..
So i think we might be allergic to alcohol, and out body reacts against it.

It's called angioedema of the lips. Caused by alcoholism.

My lips get burnt up whenever I drink even if it's just one or two shots. The skin feels super tight and dries up in like 10 seconds. I use a ton of chapstick and eventually it goes away but what causes this???

I don't know but I do get red lips but I do also get swollen lip 1 night it was on left side now is on the right lower lip I don't know what it is but this the second time I do know also have wkd but my lips have never swell up this up before please help me

I have had 2 cocktails for the last 10 years at random times, not I thought it was citrus but maybe it's vodka. My lips swell like sausages and my throat swells slightly, the lips ate painful, peel, and look horrible, not to mention the embarrassment of these things. Neosporin seems to help. After reading these posts, it might be the vodka, what a mess! Hope everyone feels better

I believe it's due to zinc dificiency. I get it pretty bad after drinking heavily, red burning lips, spicy foods kill are sore and my skin looks pale and gets blotchy easily.

I used to supplement zinc picolinate daily, and never got it. Whenever I get it now, I'll just have zinc, 50mgs for a day or two and all feels great again. I took it for years, stopped last spring because I feel it's not necessary, but the result is that I still need to take it after a heavier night.

if you get canker sores and also cracked lips, then this is because of Vitamin B complex deficiency, which is cause by alcohol. Before going to sleep take one capsule of it whenever you take alcohol and also drink as much water as you can, you will not face this problem.

I did not know they have organic drinks, what do u suggest drinking. Dermatologist says it could be enzymes.
