I'm sorry I know this is old but I had to reply. I have worked in Pharmacy for many years and you do realize when the label a drug as a "SALT" That it isn't because it contains salt? It is because it can be swallowed or sprinkled into food products(Like Salt) When a drug has actually salt in it it would say the drug name and then Sodium Chloride. Sorry I didn't mean to come off rude I just like to educate people.
I also have the same issues with the Adderall and what helps me its taking 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and mixing it with 1/2 cup of water and swishing it around your mouth! It works wonders. And stay hydrated!

Also if you do have a type of benzocaine or lidocaine mix it into 3 equal parts of Lidocaine (Benzocaine ), Children's Benadryl, and Maalox (or Mylanta). Your mouth will feel amazing after swishing with this. JUST DO NOT SWALLOW!!!

I know I'm crazy late, but I haven't tried the Biotene yet as others recommended. I have tried though mixing 1/4 teaspoonful of baking soda with 1/2 cup water as a swish and spit and it soothes if you need something quickly. If you have some Lidocaine Viscous (Or some type of Oral Benzocaine )at home, than mix in equal parts with children's Benadryl and Maaylox ( Or Mylanta) whichever is easier to find.I learned this one in quite a few pharmacies I used to work for. It Numbs mouth sores (Lidocaine ), Reduces swelling and any reaction that isn't common for your mouth (Benadryl ) And also helps soothes and cools your mouth (Maaylox or Mylanta)

You need magnesium supplements - magnesium is essential for the absorption and utilization of a vast majority of other essential vitamins and nutrients your body and brain need to function- the way it was explained to me in lamens terms is that amphetamines basically attack
the magnesium reserves in your system depriving you of nutrients and vitamins your body uses to regulate things - like your mouth . I'm no doc by any means but I have the same issues and after endless google searches I found this advice. And it worked

I found this, when worried about my swollen taste buds. They come and go - and looks and feel as if I had burnt my tongue sometimes. I take adderall, and apparently swollen taste buds can be a side effect.

Bahahaha I also found his/her post to be hilarious. I'm not surprised that most people just want to complain about their experiences with vyvanse/adderall. It's cathartic, but not too helpful ;) I'm just looking for a better solution than "drink lots of water" because I'm drinking water constantly and it is not helping AT ALL, so I will pick up some biotene tomorrow and maybe try a lower dose than 40mg vyvanse. Thank you for the tip!

That sounds like an anxiety issue . Also this happens to me when I don't take Adderall as prescribed. I actually end up moving my tongue around so much in my mouth that it get sores. Taking an antidepressant along with Adderall helped
