I am experiencing the same problem reason and have reason to suspect that it has nothing to do with a general bad reaction or involuntary tongue movement at all. For reference, I live in Southern California where it is very dry at the moment.
I recently went home to Chicago for the holidays and refilled my script there. While home, I took my medication on the same exact schedule but experienced none of the burning or discomfort, despite the fact that I was consuming significantly less water on some days. This leads me to believe that this issue is caused by either:
a: the source/supplier of the medication
b: the significantly drier climate in CA
c: a combination of a and b
Of the 3, I'm inclined to believe its a - the adderall literally felt different back home. In California it almost seems like another animal. There are moments when I take where it seems way too strong and not at all like the Adderall I was used to.
I am back in CA and had a bit of the medication I filled there - I took it and immediately the burning returned. I am due to refill so my plan is to refill at a different pharmacy to see of the issue persists.

Hi everyone. As I type this I'm in so much pain my eyes are watering. My doctor gave me an rx of adderall and I took one Saturday morning as we were going to have a busy day at work. I felt great and was able to concentrate better. I didn't eat anything that day and that night had a few beers. I woke up the next day (yesterday) to the roof of my mouth hurting so badly I couldn't eat or drink anything. I ended up eating half a sandwich and muzzled threw the pain thinking it would go away eventually. I wake up in the middle of the night last night with my whole mouth in extreme pain to the point I couldn't swallow without me eyes watering. I went to the emergency room at about 3am this morning. They gave me antibiotics and an IV with liquids and morphine because they could tell I was in a LOT of pain. They even gave me an RX of Vicodin for pain. Now, this afternoon, it's even worse and feels like it's traveling down my throat. I don't know what to do. Can anyone please help who's experienced this?! I just want it to stop!!

One of my friends used to be addicted to adderall and now when we talk about it it he always tells me this is exactly what happens to him every time. It’s never happened to our other friends but then I tried it and the next day my sh*t was hurting every time i tried to eat or drink something too. And I’m also on the third day now if still not having an appetite. This stuffs fun but it’ll f**k you up

Thats the womans body telling you she needs something. Im sure its painful to her, and the only releif is to give her something to work her jaw out on. The ultimate pain relief for her would be a big bunch of semen applied liberally.

Its due to dry mouth from taking adderall...which is a common side effect amd prob. From u clenching ur mouth and ur tounge either scraping or getying caught in between the groves of ur teeth...i lnow this cuz...i take adderall and before i started it never happened idc what anyone says its related dont take it for a few days and itll get better...just stay hydrated....

I cant even begin to express my gratitude and relief after reading this message board....sam2010 i also began looking up STD symptoms and found many that caused swelling of the tongue/lesions/etc...the more i read the more i began to panic. thankfully however, it occurred to me to research if adderall could cause these symptoms as well. i have been taking adderall on a daily basis for the last few weeks now, and i am sure I can safely assume that i am taking more than what would be directed if it were in fact prescribed to me by a doctor. it may be a painful and irritating side effect, but i am so relieved to learn that so many others experience it, as well. i believe that it is very much more than likely that it is being caused by the adderall rather than HIV/AIDS....so to every one of you who posted their experiences, thank you.

that is what is happening to me. I didn't eat at all the first day I took it and then the next day I tried to eat mcnuggets and I relized the roof of my mouth was hurting a lot

you are not broken. just a little dented! i do the same thing, and so does everyone else who takes a super-addictive drug like adderall. it's impossible not to. stop being so hard on yourself! 20 mgs is not even that much. i'm the WORST because i will go on benders for a few days (i only take 10 mgs at a time, every 3-4 hours, but STILL..), then sleep for a few days. it's horrible! and i have SO many medical issues...but i will take them even with canker sores and acid reflux, all day, just because i love being able to focus, and not sleep and not eat. see?? i'm so much worse than you!! LOL. but i've been trying to stay hydrated, do hydrogen peroxide rinses, and i use this stuff called Kanka that works really well, and/or chloraseptic spray (good for the back of your throat). i spend so much money on this stuff too! but we are ALL just doing the best we can, and trying to get by. i am a night owl by nature, so that makes it hard too. oh and yogurt! really cold! and ibuprofen. i think that's it for now..good luck!!

ha!! i'm familiar with that dimension, and seem to be there often...there is NO possible way (and i am NOT a baby about pain) i could cut off these things with CUTICLE SCISSORS. and how clean and sterile would that be, i wonder? where i live, not very. it SO sucks that the only thing keeping me from turning into Patrick Bateman makes me do wierd things with my mouth like a meth-head, allows me a steady diet of pretty much just yogurt and gatorade, and has me running for every stupid home/OTC remedy i hear of. living the dream!
