For over a year now I've had these pains. They are extremely localized and occur in different spots all over the back, top, and sides of my head. Ice pick headaches seem the best description, though they never occur in my eyes, only the scalp. Some days they occur all day every few seconds or minutes, other days I may just have a few random less intense ones. Blood tests normal (except slightly raised mch/mcv), normal esr, c reactive protein, thyroid, creatine kinase, negative for lyme, normal neurological physical/chiropractic. Occipital nerve block did nothing. MRI of cervical spine normal. Sometimes localized spots on scalp are sore if i scratch lightly. These are my ONLY symptoms at all. So frustrating. My pain dr also prescribed me gabapentin, which does nothing. Has anyone had anything similar occur? I'm desperate. (28yr old otherwise healthy male)
