Hi ladies, most pads have a plastic backing, as well bleach and chemicals to prevent bleeding through the pad and to Wick away the blood faster. unfortunately this means that air cannot flow around the Area, which causes sweat, which causes the rash. Try to find unbleached cotton pads, wear natural Underwear and loose clothes and don't forget natural talcum powder is your best friend! Good luck

It happens to me all the time! But the brand I use is called Nosotras, Always seems to work for me pretty well. They're comfortable and they haven't irritated my skin so far.

Tampons don't always cause bacteria infections. If used properly you shouldn't have any problems.

Ive had this problem for the past few months. I am on birth control but some times I forget to take it and I end up spotting until I get to the end of the month with my pills so ill be wearing a pad for weeks on end, I was using always pads cause thats what my mom always bought. She doesnt get her period any more so I have to pay for them :( but I stuck with always and I started getting itchy and red and I would scratch because its itchy and then I would get sores. So I started getting the knock off brans like walgreens or riteaid brand and they work sooo much better. But when I was still getting sore I would clean my self off reallly good and put antibiotic ointment on my self every night with a fresh new pad and I would clear up after a couple days. I hope this helps!!

I get the same(I'm also a virgin) but my burning/itching area is my inner thighs where the wings would wrap around my knicker line. Everytime I try to touch it to put cream on it burns/stings even more.

You only get infections if you don't change them often or don't clean yourself properly

I have the same problem with Always pad. I put a hemmoroid pad between me and the napkin couple times a day, and that seems to be helping.
