Ladies I have developed many of the same issues you all are having. I decided to stop using the always pads and switch to a natural product. So far they work well, no leaking. I purchased from Target and recommend you do the same.

I have this, but I find if I use pads that are 100% cotton then the irritation is lowered significantly.

I was having the same issues with irritation and even yeast infections when using pads. My OB finally told me Always brand pads have this affect on lots of women because of the plastic-like fibers they use. Told me to go home and see if that's what I was using, sure enough, all of my pads were Always brand. I use Kotex now and the issue went away.
P.S. Even the Wal-Mart version of Always pads has this effect.

Go back to old school StayFree Pads. They are soft and cotteny...I don't use Always anymore. They are made to wick...so you'll be constantly bleeding...and they rub and cause sores.
