Hi this is Jen. I know a certain brand, i's the highest certified napkin in the world. It has certifications from US FDA, Europenian Union Certificate, Hong Kong, Singapore, and in other countries as well. It works wonders also here in the Philippines! Wow, I've always used Always but lately I've been getting a sore that starts as a burning sensation and then some pressure when I move and then I realized I had a small bump/sore. It goes away as soon as my period ends and I don't use any more pads. It never appeared until last year. I change frequently so it couldn't be that I dont keep the pads for long. If any can recommend another brand I'd appreciate it. Also, I have been able to reduce the pain and as well speed the healing process by bathing in the semi hot water infused with some healing herbs. Calendula(heals wounds fast) comfrey(reduce swelling and infection) lemon balm ( infection and inflammation) and rosemary (antiseptic). It's helped me a lot and its keeper the inching under control and the sore is not as bad as before. In case anyone wants to try an alternative.

Hello,

I am going through the same thing with Always especially the new and improved ones( thin, dry-weave, with wings) Seems so perfect but not for me. The past 5 months I've noticed a burning sensation after day2.  This last time it was so bad that I couldn't sit on it.  So I did a little research and found cotton pads are the best.  There are lots of 100% cotton pads but they are 1) expensive and 2)reusable.  I don't know about you but I'm not into the whole washing thing. I finally ordered Organyx 100% cotton pad and it's biodegradable. A little bit expensive..$16 for 20 count..but totally worth it. Hope this helps.

I had a pretty bad chemical burn from Always Odor Lock pads after the birth of my second daughter. I would recommend using a 100% cotton, or chemical free brand, if something similar happens to you.

I get this and rashes. I use baby bum cream and I wear two pairs of pants one to put my pad on and one to keep everything in place. I find those boxer-like stretchy pants are awful to stick the pad on but they are wonderful as a top pair to hold everything in place. I use always as well. Change every 3-4 hours, drink LOTS of water and wash yourself every time you change you pad with water. I sit on the toilet with a wet flannel, it's the easier way to do it. Washing also makes you feel soooo much cleaner! :)

I am having this same problem and also use always.  I noticed however that the pads changed slightly within the past few months, maybe the chemical make-up did as well which is what is causing this for all of us.  I never have had this problem just up until a few months ago :S

Ahelp please im very lost.  i have had this problem on the 9th. started my period on the 6th. i didnt no what it could be because i never had this problem before. on the 10th i ask a doctor but she didnt no what it was. she jus said that it could be that its just irrated by something. i asked her by what she had no clue. so i took i took a std screening jus to be safe. in i left with no treatment or anything i was so mad. i looked up every thing then i saw this website i didnt think it could be this because i never happened, but i thought back and ever since i had a period i was always irrated. i didnt really move much because of my cramps. and for two in a half years i have been on the depo shot so i have never had a period jus maybe a spot here or there nothing big.  i have been off for three to for months, but when i wen back to the doctor becuse i couldnt even walk it was beause of this i thought. on the 15th i saw another doctor he didnt no either said it was probably irrated by something too. he swapped it and it really hurt it was tender to touch and i jus burned when i walked i guess from it rubbing together but after that he asked have you ever seen blisters in i said no all its been was buring when i walk and looked like that when i seen the last doctor and if i did the other doctor proably would of said somthing. so he gives me some pills just because he thinks its that in tells me to do a sitz bath those things really didnt help. so i went to krogers to buy some vagisil wit in two mins of me putting it on it i felt so much better and i took the pills for a week i probably put the cream on for about five days but i used it all jus in case but all my test came back negitive and there doing blood test so please let me no what you think

I've been having the same problem with my last few cycles. I get closer to the end where I'm not bleeding very much and I start getting a burning feeling and itching, I have taken to using baby wipes as well as tissue when I go to the bathroom, but the coolness of them are only a little relief. I've always used Kotex and Always, but I work at a CVS so it's sometimes cheaper to get their brand on sale. I have been using tampons a little(due to the fact that I have a heavy flow the first few days and do work in customer service), but I find I can't use them except for the first two of my period. After which I stop since my mom's warned me on the fact that she used to not be able to use them due to allergy (I monitor my tampon use closely due to this).

I've noticed that even with the Kotex U I have been using I've started getting the irritation and burning about 1/2-2/3 of the way through my period. The only ways I've found to help the burn and itch is for a hot soak in the tub and using baby wipes (primarily those for sensitive skin). I think I'll have to see about those 100% cotton pads.
