  • To perform proper facial cleansing, find a cleanser that is gentle and effective at removing dirt and oils and has been formulated for your particular skin type. 
  • Place a minimal amount of cleanser into the palms of your hand and lather it onto your moistened face, paying special attention to the hairline and areas where make-up was used.  Take enough time and make sure that the cleanser is applied to the entire face and rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry using a clean towel and follow with a light, nightly moisturizer.

  • Do not use baby wipes because it does not effectively remove make-up and can cause clogged pores and blemishes.
  • If waterproof mascara is used, use a specially formulated cleanser on a cotton ball to remove.  Cleanser can also be used on long-lasting lip color as well.
  • It is not necessary to rewash the face in the morning because it does not get dirty while sleeping.  Cleansing the skin too much can lead to irritation, eczema, and dryness.  If you awake with a slight sheen of oil on your skin, you can rinse it well with some lukewarm water and pat it dry gently with a clean cloth before reapplying make-up.
