If there is a health food store near you then go there and ask if they carry natural or organic pads cause there is such a thing. Any health food store or Whole Foods market or major organic/ natural grocer will carry them. So sorry your mom won't listen, but you shouldn't have to be in pain or scared. Blessings!

I've had horrible itching and burning from Always pads as well. Go to Whole Foods and buy Seventh Generation pads. I just switched to them today and within an hour of wearing them I feel a little bit less itching. They're organic and much cheaper than the name brand pads. I've found that this brand has helped a lot of people with the same issue.

I had the same experience. Try using organic pads without all the chemicals. A menstrual cup is also good.

I was using equate pads an it was really irritated down there an I just now switched to always pads today. What can you use to help clear the rash up ?

Tampons only cause bacteria infection if they are left longer than suggested

You can try pantyprop, it keeps a sanitary pad securely under so its no shifting so there is no friction against your thrighs , it and hides it inside so no one will know. The vaseline helps somewhat but it is a bit messy and hot, which is not good for the close proximity of your vaginal area. This could lead to other problems

Not necessarily. I have used tampons for years as I hate the feeling of a soggy pad and I've never once had a bacterial infection. You're more likely to develop one from the warm moist pad.

I have recently started seeing advertisements for cups as opposed to a pad or tampon. I have these same problem with getting dry and a rash so I was wondering,if anyone has ever tried the cups? I wonder if they work well and would prevent this issue.

I have switched to cloth pads and they are amazing. No irritation and after my fourth cycle, it seems like my cycles are getting shorter.
