Hi. I had eczema last 2015. Is that connected with fordyce spots?

Hello, once again.
As I said on your another thread, Fordyce spots are benign and harmless spots that result from the overgrowth of sebaceous (oil) glands. They are typically small, yellow or flesh-colored, and painless bumps that appear on mucous membranes, such as the lips, genitalia, and sometimes inside the cheeks. Fordyce spots are a normal anatomical variation and do not typically cause any symptoms or require treatment.
On the other hand, eczema is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that is often characterized by dry, itchy, red, and inflamed patches of skin. It can occur due to a combination of genetic and environmental factors, such as a compromised skin barrier, immune system dysfunction, allergies, and triggers like certain fabrics, detergents, or stress. Eczema can affect various areas of the body and commonly appears in childhood but can persist into adulthood.
Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, and Fordyce spots are two separate skin conditions with different causes and characteristics. They are not directly connected.
While eczema and Fordyce spots are unrelated conditions, it's worth noting that individuals can experience multiple skin conditions simultaneously. If you have concerns about your skin or notice any changes, it's best to consult with a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Have you been to your dermatologist back in 2015?
