Hi everyone,

I had a miscarriage over a year ago and haven't been able to get pregnant since. I noticed my period, although pretty regular (27-31 days), are different than what they used to be. They used to be darker and now they start out as bright red. I also noticed my periods have been more painful on the first day than I remember them being before. The flow is still heaviest on the first day- have to change my pad at least twice. Is this normal to have bright red periods with blood clots? I remember having blood clots before, but these look different. I am concerned it is not and I could be misscarrying or there could be something wrong.

Thanks for your help.

Take a pregnancy test to start with so you can rule out having a miscarriage, The levels of hcg in your body would still be high if you were miscarrying.
Hope this helps :-)
