Hey everyone, so I have a personal question about the area "down there", specifically the hymen. I hope this question does not seem to graphic & I will try & make it not seem so.

I am in college, still a virgin, & not physically active (I don't ride bikes, etc.) However, I don't regularly m---bate but when I have touched myself "down there" but I haven't gone deep inside, I have felt pressure that hurts somewhat. I got the guts to take a mirror & all I saw was some pinkish flesh at the opening but I didn't look any more. Was that the labia or not? Does this mean my hymen is still intact?

I apologise if this question is too graphic in nature.

Also, is the hymen inside or outside your vagina? I've heard that it's outside at the entrance or just barely inside & I do need to know where it's located. If there are any health professionals, please help. Thank you.

For future reference, you don't have to worry about being too graphic lol. The better you can describe a problem, the better the responses you'll get.

From the sound of it, your hymen is still intact. It should be inside the opening of your vagina, but easily visible from the outside like when you used a mirror.
