i currently have a bladderinfection, im on the meds to get rid of it... but i got my periiod at the same time. now i itch when i get in and out of the shower, and after using the bathroom, is this normal????

hi, it could be that the meds you have been given aren't agreeing with you and this could be the start of a yeast infection , this is quite a common side effect of some antibiotics etc. it may be worth you popping back to your doctor if the problem persists for a change in meds or a cream. hope this helps.

Yes, you are probably getting yeast infection which is, unfortunately, very common side effect of antibiotics which are used for treating bladder infection. You could try to avoid putting shower gel on your intimate parts during shower or if you must use some Ph neutral shower gel or soap. It could be that strong shower gel is just making your problems even worse.
If this condition continues after two or three days you will have to visit your doctor one more time. he will probably switch your current antibiotics with another ones so you shouldn’t be worried too much about this. Keep us posted how your treatment is going and I hope that you will recover fast.
