I'm a 33 year old male. I had unprotected sex 5 months ago. I've been tested for HIV, herpes, chlamydia, gonorhrea, and syphillis- all negative. My doctor, as well as a urologist, have both said I am fine. They say that it's related to stress because the unprotected sex was not with my wife (she's been tested and is negative too). The problem is that I still have burning in my penis and scrotum and tingling in my toes. I don't have any discharge and it doens't hurt to pee. The burning is pretty constant. The itych, warm anus is occassional. I've taken 3 different antibiotics and one nerve damage drug and no change.

Any ideas?

TIA

Kenneth.

I'm no Dr. but from the lay information I have I would say it is one of three things.

1. Mostly it sounds like it could be intestinal parasites or amoebas, this would be spread sexually if you came in contact with your partners feces, or perhaps he/she had rimmed you. There are over twenty different types of parasites that spread this way and some do cause burning in the urinary track and anus. Mostly you should be paying attention to your stool and if you feel anemic and weak. They also can cause inflammation in the muscle, nerves, eyes and noise, and really a host of other problems if left un-checked.

2. There is a rare form of Chlamydia (LGV) that can not be detected by conventional testing methods. It is mostly a form of the clap that is associated with the gay community, but females can and do get it. This also causes the symptoms you describe, but you would probably have a very mild case of it. You can read more about it at the below link.

http://www.azcentral.com/health/men/articles/0206chlamydia06-ON.html

3. It could be a mild case of Herpes. Remember Herpes is closely associated with shingles, which is nerve infection and inflammation. Unfortunately, if you have herpes I (and 95% of the population does) there is no great test to determine if you have genital herpes II, other than an out break.

Hope this helps and keep me updated.

This is weird but I have the same symptoms. I did sleep with anyone else though.

The head of my penis is a little red and I get pain in my belly button. I am not sure what else it is.
I have no discharge, burning and sore when I urinate and the itchy feeling comes and goes.

Lastly my feet are tingling and my eyes feel itchy at times.

I've had these three symptoms for two years now. It feels like my penis head is raw all the time, my urethra will burn with pee too. I have anal burning, and toe/feet burning too. I have been through all the pelvic pain treatments (PT, meds, etc) with no help...did you have any luck?

It's probably thrush. If you have a yeast overgrowth it will give you the symptoms of raw genitals, athletes foot and and itchy bum. Take one dose of Flucanozole (Diflucan Tablet) and have you partner take one too. You'll be fine in a couple of days.

Hi kenneth1,
I am also feeling the same symptoms. I've noticed that your post is quite old, so I hope you already found out what exactly had. Can you please let me know what it was and how you treated it?
Regards,
Joao

You could have a anal fissure. Check your self. When you shower put your finger around your anus. Feel for, a spot that will hurt. Usually a open wound is located in this spot, however if its internal then you may not have one. Anal Fissures can effect the Prudential nerve and cause your leg pain along with but pain and penis pain. Usually surgery is required when it gets this bad. Treat it now, go to the doctor and ask for a MRA/MRI of your pelvic area to check for a internal anal fissure, because it will only get worse. You will notice weaker erections, as your nerve has increased stimulation through out the day. Your penis when you are with a woman will leak before your even hard with semen. You may not even get hard.

Another cause could be Varicose Veins in the pelvic area or legs, just another reason to ask for a MRI/MRA scan of the area. Make sure they do the MRA scan.

Hope this helps!

Hello

I have similar symptoms to kenneth1 and was just wondering if you found out what your problem was as I'm still struggling to get a diagnosis

if you could respond would be great

If your doctor said you tested clean for STDs, you probably have nothing to worry about there. The tingling and itching in the scrotum and around the anus could be related to a yeast infection (thrush), jock itch - although you would probably have a rash - or even eczema. You could also have an allergy or sensitivity to a soap or laundry detergent you are using.

Try changing your shower soap and laundry detergent to an unscented, non-allergenic type, and make sure to wash every day and dry the groin area thoroughly before getting dressed to prevent any yeast growth. Use a penis health creme - I find Man1 Oiil to be a good product - to moisturize and calm the skin.

I would go get tested for penis neuropathy.....you don't have to be a diabetic to get neuropathy........but tingling and burning is part of it...and have your bladder check also...
