Me and my boyfriend had sex on the 4th and I get my period on the 10th, but I didn't start. I thought I did today, but it was just very light spotting and the blood was dark and brownish looking. I've been having more cramps than I usually do and my breasts are really sore, to the point where it hurts if I touch my nipples.

i would wait about a week and take an at home pregnancy test to be on the safe side. The spotting you experienced could most likely be implantation bleeding which is an early sign pregnancy along with sore breasts.
