Hey all,

I am on my day 3 post embryo transfer. The symptoms I am having are some abdomen pain, nausea, mild cramps, low back pain, hunger feeling , sleeping problems during night and tireness.

This is my 2nd IVF cycle. I have been trying to be healthier and more calm than last time. I have had a one 8- cell and one 6- cell embryos day 3 transfter 3 day ago. I have been trying my best this time. Doing acupunture twice a week. Eating lots of high protain foods, lots of fresh fruits and nuts, lots of fresh juice and milk. Listening to relaxing CDs every day ... I have not been out in the past two days after transfer and planning on going out for a walk today. Last time after embryos transfered my husband took me for a drive straightway and came back 5 hours later. I think that was a silly thing to do even thought doctors said that wasn't a factor. Now I learnt it from last mistake and have been staying at home for two days in the past two days without doing any housework apart from Only eating and watching DVDs.

My attitude is that whatever it is let it be and I have tried the best I could... :-D

This is my first try with IVF - I'm on day 8 after my day 3 transfer and getting my blood test on Monday (day 13). My doctor ordered strict bed rest for the day of and 3 days after my transfer. I was told I was allowed to be up for 5 minutes total per hour and that was it. I followed her instructions and stayed very relaxed for another 2 days after that as well.
I'm having all of the same symptoms as everyone else - except the ones experiencing very painful cramping, I've only had slight cramping. But, I felt this way even before I had the tranfer so I'm thinking that it might very well be all of the meds we're all taking already. For those who've done this before - did you have these same symptoms when your IVF was not successful??
A lot of these posts are quite old - I'd be curious to know if any were successful after all! :-)
Good luck and good hcg vibes to all!

I'm on Day 8 too, I go back to the doc Monday for the blood test too. This waiting is making me crazy. I'm 30 and this is my first IVF as well as my last. My thyroid has nearly killed my ovaries/eggs and even on highest dose IVF I only produced two eggs and only one made it to transfer. I'm trying to stay busy, but I feel like Monday is judgement day either way my life will be changed forever because I'll either be pregnant or will never have kids of my own. (The doc doesn't recommend IVF again since I was already on highest dose.) Anyway, hang in there, so far my symptoms include mild cramping, breast tenderness, moodiness, headaches and I'm really, really tired. Frankly though, I've had most of these on and off throughout the process and so it maybe drugs, stress, etc. Praying for the best, while preparing myself mentally for the worst. Don't want to read too much into the symptoms. Good Luck!

Hello All,

I am on day 4 after transfer, this is my 2nd cycle. I had my 1st lab today and my estradiol level was @ 111, they say that normal is over 200 so i'm not sure if it's a good sign or not, I do notice my stomach feels hungry alot and my breasts are sensitive also I feel like a bloated feeling in my stomach. I am very stressed out and I want this to happen already. I pray that god gives me my baby already so me and my husband can be complete in our marriage. I have been married for 4yrs now and I am 33. Good luck to all. :-D

Hi, All

Like everyone here, I too had an IVF transfer on the 12th of November. Tomorrow I find out whether I'm pregnant or not. I'm not sure what to expect because like alot of you, I also have tender breasts, abdominal cramping, back pain, and as icky as it may sound, an increase in vaginal discharge. My husband and I are really hoping we are pregnant. The waiting period is a killer ? . Good luck to everyone!!!

I have had several attempts at IVF - I now have one child and last year I had a mis. On both those occasions I had mild cramping about 1 week to 10 days after the transfer. the first time it happened i assumed the worst. now I welcome it. I am currently 1 week after a FET and am experiencing mild cramps since yesterday so fingers crossed they are implantation and not menstruation!!! About 10 days into my first pregnancy I developed a cold sore and at around the same stage in my second I got a really sore throat. My immune system obviously takes a hit as my body is preparing to accept the embryoes so I am currently hoping for some sort of infection as a sign but nothing along those lines has happened so far in this cycle.

Hi it is very comforting that there others going thru the same things as me. This is my day 3 after ET and I am kinda scared because I don't have any symptoms I can walk around like nothing. Me and my hubby went thru a lot to save $$$ for this and I am kinda worried waiting for the 2week wait. I'm also a liitle worried because I have this estrogen patch they told me to wear and I read the things about it and it said if u are trying or are pregnant don't use. I asked the nurse and she said ignore that. Sooo that made me a little uncomfortable. Please anyone help or has any advise? Thanks

On our 3rd IVF cycle, we finally got a positive pregnancy test. I have one child already so I thought I would know if I was pregnant or not immediately with IVF. I definitely feel a lot different at the early stages of this pregnancy than I did with my natural pregnancy before. I have had a lot of cramping which my doc says is due to the stimulation of the ovaries. My breasts have been pretty sore, but they were from all the IVF medicine already. The wait is horrible for the pregnancy test at the doc, but I don't recommend doing a home pregnancy test. You have so many drugs in your system, it is possible to get a false positive and that would be more crushing than waiting for the doc test. Good luck to each of you! You all will be in my prayers!

Good Luck Everyone.

First IVF (ICSI). Day 5 ET three days ago. No symptoms ~ with the exception of abdominal cramping which may be due to nerves. Trying to calm down and keep positive. Will get tested this upcoming Saturday.

I have a 10 month old baby through IVF (after 10 years of trying) and we are again going through IVF. I am currently at day 5 after transfer - 7 more days to wait...
First time around I had slight cramps & breast tenderness so I was sure it didnt work as I get these symptoms every month even without IVF. I was already planning the next cycle when I received the good news.
Unfortunately there's no sure way to tell until you have the blood test. My only advice is to think positively and try to keep busy. Its definitely an emotional rollercoaster we are all on and people who have not gone through IVF can never understand what it is like to be dissappointed month after month.
I believe good things come to those who wait... Good Luck and stay positive.

Hello! I am day 10 after transfer and the wait is HORRIBLE! I have breast tenderness, cried at Gene Simmons Family Jewels yesterday and to top that nuttiness I had seen the episode a million times, I am tired. I was cramping until a few days ago. We had 2 high graded embreyos transferred and are so so hopeful. This is our first round with IVF. We tried Clomid for several months. Our PT is in 2 days. I wish the best for everyone else and for ourselves. We have been praying that this is Gods Will for our family.

Blessings and Good Luck to yall!

Thanks for all the shared information. I am at my 3nd day after 1 E transferred(5 day transfer). Feel nausea, bloated, breat tender, a bit of cramp comes and goes. Prior to the transfer I was so up beat and happy, but not any more.. The doc gave me minimum amount of drug, I got 6 eggs collected, 5 fertilized. 3 was good on the day of transerred. The best got into me, and the second best was freezed up.
And now I am very worry. I have been meditating almost everyday since day 1, and after the transfer I just cannot get focus. I need to try harder before it drives me insanse. Good luck to you all.

Hello "crazywomen"...we just went through our first round. I had all the symptoms and now know that it is very hard to know or not if that is early pregnancy symptoms or from the hormones etc. I have a little advice...meditating is awesome however I would do things that occupy your mind in a different way - go to the movies, museums, walks with your husband, start a new hobby (paint, make jewelry)...

This is such a hard time and if someone has not gone through it they just do not understand...I am not really positive that even our partners understand. My husband - he tries and we have to remember this is hard for them as well. This second round I will do more things out of the house with my husband and I will go to the movies alone during the day. : )

Good luck to you - all of you! Blessings!
