Hahaha...you are a woman after my own heart. I just had an ET 4 days ago. Relaxing now. Watching tv and trying not to be negative or too hopeful. This is my 3rd cycle after 2 failed. It is now in GOD's will. What made me laugh was your comment about the baby ads & commercials, not to mention many of my friends who just had a baby or inviting me to their baby showers. Uuuugh... I'm happy for them but they don't know how cruel it is to put me through knowing I want a baby but can not have one. I know they meant well but well, you know.

Hi! I know it's been a year since your post but I'm really glad you shared. I've read many post about retrievals and transfers, their hopes and worries but very few people post about being sick from OHSS and the pain and swelling from swollen ovaries. I too went through much of what you did. I had 2 failed cycles and currently on my 3rd. Just had an ET, day 4. Relaxing, staying home and staying positive. My 1st cycle, I was OHS, threw up, couldn't keep any food or drinks down so anti nausea wasn't helping. After 6 hours of continuously throwing up and diarrhea, hyperventilation, dehydration and pain I finally went to ER and was given IV fluid, morphine and anti nausea through IV. It helped a lot! I did not stay overnight in hospital. Came home 8 hours later with prescription of Percocet (20 pills) which I finished in a week. It said to take every 4-6 hours. I took one every 4-5 hours since it seem to wear off quickly and I was in pain again. My doctor was notified by the ER Doctor who told me we will wait a month and freeze "cryo" my eggs. I had 2 which was transferred a month later but failed. No pregnancy. I went to a new doctor a year later, again I was OHSS. Again I went to ER after a retrieval. This time we got 22 eggs, 11 matured but only 1 reached blastocyst after day 6. My 1st cycle I had 32 ooctytes, 23 fertilized but after Day 6 only 2 reached blastocyst. My 2nd doctor was amazed that I had this many matured eggs but only 1 reached blastocyst so during my 3rd cycle & he prescribed me HGH (human growth hormone) I have 3 matured embryos that reached blastocyst, transferred 2 after we waited 2 months which it was frozen and thawed due to my swollen belly and difficulty breathing. I'm now on post ET Day 4. Please pray for me and good luck to all of you going through IVF. ps. I was able to contact my doctor any time, any day which is why I love him. Unfortunately he is retiring :-(

I am 9 days in of my embryo transfer. I have had stomach cramps and backache but never had sore breasts. Now I have no symptoms at all, and I'm scared that it hasn't worked. What do you think?
