ivf and symptoms in first week of pregnacy

I to have been experiencing some crazy symptoms. Reading all these posts have made me feel better. I had a day 5 transfer of what we were told was an excellent emryo. I was fine the first week, just bloated and some ovarian pain. But I was told that since they harvested 50 eggs I would feel that for awhile. Bloating has gone away but now I have some sharp pains sometimes when I stand mostly in my ovaries. Also pain when I cough and sneeze. A little cramping. My breasts feel like someone is cutting them off. They are hard and full. Tomorrow is my day 14. I have been scared and second guessing everything and evey feeling I have as a failure. I am so glad to read that every one else is having the same second guessing. Thank you guys for the support through this emotional time.

I'm 41, and this is my first IVF.. i have 3 kids from my first married and i had them normally, well pregnant normally. but i had my tube tied about 12yrs ago and that my youngest childs age. Well its been 5 days since i got my embyro transfer. my breast r sore and im sleepy, so i wen down the chemist and bought a pregnancy test kit. well i wast suprise it said negative.im getting impatient..so i would like to know how long it u can test again..malinda

Hey everybody. It seems like most of you did a day 3 transfer... I did a day 5. and it's been 5 days since the transfer. I'm super nervous because only 1 embryo (out of 6) was ready. Since the transfer I've been weak, nauseas, dizzy at times, but mostly crampy/bloated. I'm doing this as a surrogate and the added pressure is killing me. It's up to me to make this baby. I hope I'm doing it all right and not over doing anything. I am a full time student and I do a lot of walking but, as soon as I feel weak..i sit down and take a break. I've also cut out everything bad ... caffiene, fatty foods... I've been craving salads. Which is awesome! I've worried about my progesterone as well. My doc had me move where I inject due to severe muscle pain. So now I put the shot in the meatiest part of my butt cheek. Keep your heads held high ladies!!! My theory is... as long as we're having symptoms.... Something must be going on in there. right? Let us know your test results! I go in Thursday!

I wanted to go ahead and post that my pregnancy test came back positive! I taken all 3 tests and they were all great. The 1st one proved that I was pregnant. And the second two show the correct progress in my HCG levels!! YAY!

I had my Transfer 5 1/2 days ago and I'm going crazy. I'm so paranoid I've been eating super healthy I've even cut out caffeine (I was a Star Bucks every morning Kinda gal)

The morning after my transfer I had horrible cramps. It was the worst! Since then I've had some mild cramping and tenderness in my ovaries. My nipples are VERY sensitive. On top of all that These Hcg Shots are killing me. |-O

I go back to my doctor for a pregnancy test on the May 16th. I have an 8am appointment and I plan on being there at 7:30.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! I hope we also get positive pregnancy tests. :-)

I am going to be a gestational surrogate (hopefully) for my sister. I had 2 embryos transferred last sunday at day 5 of the cycle and I have my first bloodwork tomorrow. In a panic as this is her last shot at a baby. I was told at home tests would work by friday last week. Seemed early to me but it was negative and now im in a panic. I know how you all are feeling...so stressful!

Bloating of the stomach I feel like I'm about to have a period I'm so scared. Should I feel like this if I am pregnant.?I had my transfer 10 days ago with 2 embryos.

Hi There,

I have read so many uplifting experiences of a successful pregnancy and I am so happy for all of you. My heart goes out to everyone who is going through what we all are going through. But right now, I am going through my own ordeal and could not find anyone who is going through the same experience...I have no symptoms at all. Is it the obvious? i had 5day early blast 3 embies fair quality transfered. That I am not pregnant. Or is there still a possibility and that I just need to wait until my HCG appt. I have read everyone's experience and their symptoms, but none on someone who had no symptoms but was pregnant. I have read and searched all forums but found no information on my experience. I had 3 failed ivf. one transfer was done day3 i had all the sysmptoms, sore boobs, cramps fq urination but BFN. rest 2 cycle no transfer as they were poor quailty. My only fourth cycle my embies could make it to early blast. nothing to freeze toh.

Hi I am on my 9th day after blastocyst transfer, I have had cramping, lower back pain, white snot like cm ( sorry tmi ), sore breasts. Today I woke up with nothing!!!!!!! this TWW is killing me I was naughty and tested on day 7 and itwas a BFN.... GUTTED, Has anyone experienced this....

Just wanted to post that after all the stress of waiting I am currently 25 weeks pregnant as a gestational surrogate for my sister! IVF is definitely a whole different process than doing this the normal way. Good luck to everyone on here :)
