Jawbone hurts and I can hear the bones rubbing

I can hear my jawbones... where they connect in front of the ear, rubbing against each other. It's sometimes very painfull & difficult when I eat certain foods. Even when I speak, I can hear and feel them. It's becoming a nuisance.
