So I'm really not sure how to feel..or be right now.

Yesterday morning I woke up and felt a little off. My cycles are off to start with--They are between 25-37 days so "timing" my periods etc was almost impossible. Anyways, I've been with my boyfriend for almost 2 and a half years, and obviously we have sex. I can't be on Birth control because I have a blood clotting disorder, so our only protection we used were condoms..Onto the story.

I've been expecting my period to come for the past couple days. I woke up yesterday and just figured I'd take a pregnancy test just..to take I guess. I've NEVER had a positive pregnancy test--but boooy did it pop up almost immediatly. I was in SHOCK. I still am..I started crying and then laughing and..ugh. So, I called my boyfriend and needed to just talk to someone about it. So I told him, he was pretty shocked too. Neither of us have ever had kids, or even really a situation like this. I just feel so..lost..and needed to vent. I'm 19..should I really feel..happy or..scared..or..I dunno..

I've since taken three other pregnancy tests(which were positive), and I just did a blood pregnancy test thing..I just feel so..off. Has anyone ever felt like this before? I see people are soo happy when they find out they are pregnant, but me? I'm like..in shock. any advice?

I was 20 when I got pregnant with my daugter. Yes, your response is very normal. I am pretty sure even people wh plan t have children feel like that someimes. It is a big deal. Your world is no longer about you. You will be fine. The shock will wear off and you will be really happy and excited. Just give it a little time.

hello and congrats!! i was just browsing through these pages and stumbled upon your post and it sounds exactly like mine when i found out i was pregnant. i too have a blood clotting disorder and cant take birth control... but i just wanted to let you know (if you didnt already) to let your ob know in advance about your blood disorder so they can treat your pregnancy better. im not trying to scare you its just not safe you should be taking baby asprin or lovenox to prevent blood clots from traveling to into the umbilical cord.
