I have just had a miscarrige. I was in 6 week. When would it be safe to get pregnant again? I guess that it takes time for hormone levels to get normal. Should I use contraception now and if should, for how long?

Well I think that that is individual thing, I mean that depends on your general condition. I guess that it would not be recommended to get pregnant right after you had miscarriage. It is important to find out reasons of miscarriage, do hormonal test, ultrasound, Pap test, check your glucose level and blood pressure etc. Your gyn will recommend you proper contraception or treatment if needed.

When I had a miscarriage my Dr. wanted me to wait until I had three normal periods to try again. But the Dr. at the hospital said that it would be ok to try after having just one normal period. The reason why they want you to wait until you have at least one period is because it makes it easier for them to determine the estimated due date. I would just wait until I had one period. It should be ok then. But make sure your body is up to and that you are mentally ready after having a miscarriage to try again so quickly.

GOOD LUCK and Im sorry about your loss.
