I've had this pain under my right shoulder blade for months.. It feels like a Chinese burn on the skin, ibroprofen works but days I forget it I literally have to lodge my shoulder on the edge of a door to ease the pain (sounds weird) but it works for a few minutes! My doctor says its due to a car crash I had when I was 16 and said nothing else but keep taking the painkillers! That isn't fixing it! Need help!!!

What is the effect of massage?  Where in your shoulder is it?  Is it tender?

Massage makes the pain get worse, stronger burning pain. At the moment it's tingling with a slight burn.

It's in the middle under my right shoulder blade. It looks swollen but the swelling comes and goes with the pain.

I'd consider discussing physiotherapy with your doctor and make it very clear you're not happy with the pain management. Until conservative approaches are taken be weary of simply taking more drugs, and don't add other drugs without discussing with your doctor.

Also be mindful that your emotional state and pain can get into a loop and make you feel terrible and make the pain worse. You know yourself best, anything you can do to break that cycle will help.

I can't take many pain killers as I'm on maximin dose of migraleave. Last night got so severe I went to the hospital, I had pins and needles at the tips of my right fingers, and the top of my spine, they didnt take me seriously and I left.

Took 800mg of ibroprofen last night and it didnt even touch the pain. My partner has to viciously rub the area, which is great but painful, after the whole area is numb.

Hopefully soon someone will take me seriously!

Migraleve should not be taken with ibuprofen.

ED would take at least an hour to see you (possibly what you mean by "didnt take me seriously"??). You can't just admit yourself to hospital, you need to see a GP.

Jadey if you have numbness in fingers you need to get mri of cervical spine---c4 thru c7 affects shoulder and hands and sometimes upper arm ----you may have herinations in your neck causing these symptoms ---u need to insist on having this done ---they will probably suggest xrays first but that wont show the problem--- only mri will. Your nerve in your neck may be compressed causing these symptoms ---trust me I been thru it!!
