I am having this exact same problem, exactly 2 big clots, both today, but before that just lite bleeding. I also had one 2 yrs ago at a different clinic, both very highly recommended and I'm very happy with the service. Only have bleeding last night. I get severe pains, but the pain killers are working. I'm just wanting to know if u should be concerned and call the clinic

I've been having the same experience.. i've had abortions before but the first time i flooded like a fountain it wouldn't stop i end up in the emergency room.. now i am flooding but i am seeing huge clots like so huge they almost as big as my hand palm, and they are coming out like every 5mins.. I am worried so i'm making sure i take my tablets and hope for the best if it continues more than a few days i'm going to call my doctor

Hopefully people read this message and stop reposting the same worried messages. Just so you know I'm not a medical professional but this is just what I experienced & what I'm told is normal/not normal.
After taking the second pill you will experience moderate to severe pain (cramping) where you will pass the pregnancy which will include mucus, blood clots, etc. You will then get a period lasting up to a week.
If you stop bleeding then start bleeding again or if it never stops CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR immediately! If you start passing blood clots any bigger than the size of a golf ball (mine were the size of mangos sometimes) go to the EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY! The same goes for if you lose consciousness, are filling up a large pad within minutes to an hour, feel light headed.
If I'm correct its called a hemorrhage. As someone else stated before you will require a blood transfusion due to anemia so this is not something to contemplate about & wonder if you should tell anybody. You can die from this if you do completely nothing!
This is not to say that abortions are bad as this can actually happen with a natural miscarriage, or even after childbirth. My hemoglobin got to a 7 & its really scary to be passing massive blood clots & passing out & you might think you can just wait it out but please get off the computer & go to the doctor if you're even thinking about typing another message like these previous ones

can I ask you what happen after ? I have so many blood clots & its been 2 weeks & half since I did it & I'm getting scare because of so many blood clots that I feel even when sleeping that I have to go to the bathroom & sometimes even like three blood clots come out idk what to do or who to call please tell me how it all went with you . ?

I am worried that this is part of the fetus?

I took the abortion pill, and started having severe cramps that day, and for about a week after. Every time I had cramps, I would pass more and more tissue. From what my doctors told me, this is normal-however, soaking a pad in 2 hours or less is not, and they stressed that if this happens, to go to the emergency room.
I did not realise that stopping and starting was not normal though... I'll call my doctor and see what she says.

I had my abortion on the 24th, i didnt bleed at all the first day. The second day a did a little but day by day it got heavier. Today i had so many clots of what looks like skin and blood. So many it was scary! Also, when i go to do "number 2" it HURTS like someone is stabbing my lower stomach! so bad i can barely stay in one spot, brought tears to my eyes but i bought a delicious tea that helped alot. reading this forum helped me out to relax because all of you girls have been seeming to have the same problem. This was my first and LAST one i ever will have and i have been mentally stressed by my body because i was not informed in any way of "how I should feel" but now i feel at ease a little thank you for sharing.

I had a medical abortion on the 21st of June. I took the first pill at the clinic, the second set (consisted of 4 pills) I took the next day (22nd June) which I had to dissolve under my tongue and in my cheeks. About 10 mins after the pills dissolved, I had severe cramping, it was terrible. I threw up once, had one runny tummy moment and 6 hours later I passed what I think was the embryo. It was such a relief, absolutely no pain. It was the biggest clot I've passed. Everyday since then, which was last week, I have mild cramps a limited bleeding but when I go urinate, I'd sometimes pass a clot and the pain will subside. I know its only day 5 but I'm already hoping it will end soon. Reading some of your posts makes me feel lucky thus far.. I've had no heavy bleeding yet, just when I get up I feel the blood gush out but I can use three pads per day.
Hoping it ends real soon. One question though, apparently it is wise to start a contraceptive pill once you stop bleeding to make your cycle normal again. Is this true?

I had a surgical abortion a week ago, i have had normal steady bleeding like a light period up until today when i started having clots. I wouldn't worry about them girls! if you think about it your uterus was filled with the same lining of blood for weeks! plus during the abortion some bits (eg bits of placenta etc) are sometimes left behind... all of this HAS to come out! i would worry more if it didn't... obviously huge amounts of blood loss is cause for concern but if the clots are coming out your body is just getting rid of everything it doesn't need in there.
