late period(by 3 weeks) perhaps some spotting, blood in mucu

Hi all,

I was hoping i could please get your opinion on my situation. My period is currently 3 weeks late. When I was meant to get my period instead i had a little mucus with a little blood in it. Not much blood, just a few little squiggly lines. I still havent had a proper period (i dont know whether to think that was it). I have been very tired and irritable but i think i always am so its probably nothing differnet. Howeever. yesterday and today i have had some very light, basically non existant browney coloured mucus or something. Like i said it is very non-existent just a few little drops id imagine. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this?

I had been sick a few weeks back but the doctor said it shldnt effect my period, he made me do a pregnancy test way back then too (this would have been about 2 and a half weeks ago) and it came back negative. I doubt I am pregnant - altho i suppose anything is possible - i have been off the pill since early this year. So perhaps my body is just being silly?


Any help you can give about this would be good... im sorry if you have seen this question alot its just i hav found it hard finding similiar posts to my problem.

Oh and I also know stress can delay a period but i took some time off work last week to rest and i have been feeling much more relaxed since but still no period... i really dont want to take a pregnancy test becos i dont think i am pregnant, so if u r aware of what might be going on please let me know - or if you have experienced similar
