Started in Dec 06 with just hearting heartbeat. Then in spring 07 had open feeling in left ear only. Went to ENT and ran test: hearing- fine allergies -none, no infection. After many visits now has sent me to new ENT wants to do a CT scan but most things I'm seeing on internet say, nothing helps. He says it is some type of tinnitus and what I read about tinnitus there is no cure. Didn't have ringing but in the last month now ringing.

On internet only see posting of heartbeat not this open feeling were I can hear more on the left side first. Lately now it seems to come and go. Ripped out carpeting in house last Oct even thought 3 sets of allergy test say no allergies. Thought allergies b/c seems to go away when I am out of town. Live in a high pollen city, Gainesville, FL.

Want to know if any other people are experiencing the same open feeling in left ear were the eustachian tube seems open and what they might have done.
