I'm 67yrs. old and I started getting this strong, "letting down" sensation about a year ago. Why? Does it mean I'm getting cancer?

Not wanting to alarm anyone but before I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, I had the let down sensation in my right breast. I was 56 years old

Did you ever find out what was wrong, and are you still having these symptoms? I breast fed both my boys for 18 months each but it's been almost 5 years since then. I've recently started feeling that same sensation. I'm a little freaked out.

Have you talked to your Dr about testing for a pituitary gland tumor? I had lactation without pregnancy & through blood work & brain MRI, I discovered I had a microadenoma pituitary gland tumor. Good luck!

I often feel like my breast is pumping milk, I know I'm not expecting and doctors say it's impossible for me to conceive due to the fact that I was diagnosed with PCOS last year. I sometimes feel my breast is lactating and I'm always tired and nauseated. I'm on the birth control and haven't missed a day, haven't missed my period, well not until last week, it came and two days after it was gone with the wind. Should I see a doc or it's all in my mind ??

I know this is a really old thread, but I had this feeling and I turned out to be 13 weeks pregnant, so yes it can be a pregnancy symptom, I even went to the doctor before I tested because I didn't find a good answer about phantom letdown as a pregnancy symptom. Good luck and baby dust to anyone searching on this topic!!
