Hi, I have very similar experiences. But mine is happening roughly 2-4 times a year. But always while sitting. It hits me out of the blue, powerful 2-10 seconds of lightheaded feeling blurred vision for a second and feeling like I am going to faint but I never did. I tried to find out what may be the problem as well as under which circumstances I am most likely to get this. I have three clues. I am wearing glasses when I am working on computer /did not see optician for years, so it may be that they /glasses/ need to be adjusted or replaced for different optics/. Reason two I noticed that two of the "attacks" happened after meal or a hot drink such as tee or coffee, that may bring up the low pressure and the sudden pressure drop. And my last suspect goes to my neck. I am having this stiff strange feeling in my neck for years, its not hurting or anything bad, but I can feel always that little pressure in it and tension, when i twist my head to the sides i can hear and feel the spines "popping" . So far this is what I can say, hope that its not anything serious and if you will have any news please share. Take care

Male24,
I have exacted the same symptoms and finally found this thread. I will implement your solution, to sit upright, and get up and walk around. Thank YOU so much for starting this thread. You have no idea how much it helps me, at a minimum, I am not alone in this. Thanks again and be well.

Hello, all. I have been researching and going to doctors for these same issues that started for me in September 2013. Two weeks ago I had what is called a Tilt Table Test which evaluates how you regulate blood pressure and heart rate in different positions. This is finally the test that showed some abnormality indicating that I possibly have a problem "POTS" Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. Easy to research online, easy to get it checked out by a doctor. Good luck!!

I totally agree. I also have it when I read a lot in a leaning down position or eating. It always disappears when I go to a holiday where I either walk or lie down. It also took me 4 years to solve it after going through all the tests.

Maybe you do not need vitamins...you care too much for the opinion of other people, and if your image is not as you would like this is a contradiction=panic. I do not say to you to relax, just do not care for the opinion of others, and you will relax. The most of such problems are spiritual (the way of thinking the most of the times) problems and they appear as psychological. I had nearly the same.

Thanks for starting this thread.  I've had the same symptoms on and off for two months now.  Doctor says all blood tests (extansive battery) are in the normal range.  Testosterone borderline low.  As with a previous poster, I'm trying to cut down on caffine as attacks have occured most often when I'm sitting and during or after a cup of coffee.  I slouch in the chair too, so thanks for the posture tip.  When this happens, getting up and moving around actually seems to help the symtoms abate.  I'm going for a stress test on my heart next week.  Right now I'm just scared to death and don't like feeling this way.  One good friend suggested it's allergies as here in the Northeast U.S. this has been a very big allergy season due to lots of spring rain.

If you have any more observations, please post them (I'm "dying" to know what is really going on!  Thanks!

Sitting and staring at a computer monitor sometimes requires holding the head at a slight tilt, leaning back. This can cause pressure at the base of your skull, where it rests on the Atlas vertebra. If there is slight misalignment of that vertebra, this could result in irritation at that region and subsequent pressure to build up near the base of the brain stem. The blood vessels passing between the vertebrae in the upper cervical spine become irritated and this results in slight occlusion of circulation in the cranium. Upper cervical specialists can correct alignment of the vertebra by using very gentle, highly specialized adjusting techniques. Specific x-rays are taken to determine any subluxation (misalignment) of the vertebrae. The adjustments are extremely gentle/non-forceful. Results are typically very positive. Learn more by doing an internet search: Atlas orthogonal specialist or upper cervical specialist

I too have had the same symptoms. I have IBS, and I know that that can cause some of it. I believe that stress caused IBS in the first place.
I am really beginning to believe that it's tied somehow to the feeling of not being able to escape, as weird as it sounds.
I experienced it this morning at Jury Duty. Once released from duty I was fine. Go fugure.
It's very puzzling, and I will tell you that you will likely find a cure yourself before a doctor. I'm speaking from experience after spending $$$$$.
Rest assured you're not alone. Try to relax.

Interesting... I have had the same symptoms, though rarely. I've noticed that I was sitting in a slouched and slumped position with my neck bent and thought it might be a problem. I've also had a herniated disk in the lower back. I never had any symptoms before that, now that I think of it. Suddenly I wonder if there's a connection. It makes sense that it could be some ongoing nerve pressure or damage from that earlier injury. I had extensive tests after the first incident two years ago, and the doctors could find no sign of heart or brain problems of any kind.

I wish that I could answer your question..but I have had the same thing happening to me lately too...I used to faint quite a bit as a child...I believe it was from that "fasting before communion" ordeal....but this is different. I'll be sitting at the computer, when that feeling comes over me. I feel as if I am going to faint, but not quite...Feel free to contact me....let me know if your doc comes up with some explaination
