Hello. My wife is pregnant for three months now and until spider nevus showed up everything was ok. And even though the doctor assures us that there is nothing to worry about, we are still concerned. This is due to a fact that I have a friend who had the same thing due to his liver disease. Could this be happening to her?
Well, the liver disease is one of the possible causes of the spider nevus, but there are some more too. And I will mention only one and that is the increased level of the female hormone estrogen. And that happens in the pregnancy quite often. This means that you really don’t have anything to worry about. And I assume that she has done some blood and other tests before and during the pregnancy. The results would have shown something bad of there is a problem with the liver.
