That's the exact same problem i have! Ive had it my whole life since i can remember, im 19 now, when i was 16 i had to break up with my super hot girlfriend because of it when she wanted to have sex, totally ruined my whole life.... is it the piece of skin under the end of the penis? like a little string? like under youre tongue when you lift it up a bit?
I can feel ur husbands pain, its not that easy to just go to a doctor... i tried to explain this to my school doc when i was 15 and he just told me to wrap my penis in a ice cold towel? he did not understand me at all... and after that i just gave up hope and ate myself fat so girls wouldnt be interested in me and i wouldnt get in embarassing situations like that again... Telling my mom was not an option and i rarely saw my dad.
I would imagine it should be a pretty simple operation, ive tought about doing it myself with a heated up knife, but i never had the balls to accualy do it. This situation really sucks, i really dont know how to tell my doctor... it is such and sensitive subject.
Im trying to find out what this deformaty is called so i can tell my doctor the problem without having to show him everything etc... but i havent found out yet.. It's not what most of these people have i mean i can pull back my foreskin quite a bit and clean under there and stuff but the little part of skin makes it so i cant pull it back properly when having an erection..

I am 43 and have alway's had a tight foreskin! it has not been much of a problem until recently about 3yrs ago I started noticing a problem pulling it back when in the shower, now forget it the skin has become so tight and thick at the end that after I have sex with my wife or masterbate the skin has tears in it and the pain is so intense, that its getting harder for me to enjoy sex. And just do not want to go and get it cut off I hear alot about steroid cream you can apply to the skin and it will thin out. Has anybody had any good results with this cream having tight and thick foreskin. 8-|

Although this forum post is somewhat old, I'd thought I will still add my tupence.
When I was a kid, I'm 29 now... My foreskin was "stuck" as such to my glands, didn't really bother me much really to be honest, although one day doing as a teenager does, masturbating quite hard I had a sharp and sudden pain, my foreskin had came "loose" from my glands and came fully retracted. It honestly hurt like a b***h from hell, I still remember it to this day!
For a few days after I was uncomfortable in everything, walking, exercising etc... but after that it wasn't a problem.
Now when my penis is flacid fully covers my penis, when erect it fully retracts, I've never had a problem since this, I've a kid so no problems there, plus I fully enjoy intercourse not lose of sensation or pain.
Let your body develope on its' own, some guys have foreskin that does retract some doesn't, so what? As you'll learn during life, womens genitals are all different too, none is alike.

Hello everyone.
I used to have a really tight foreskin and couldn't retract it at all.
When erect just the tip of my 'bell-end' showed.
It started to really annoy me when I soon realised all porn stars were not circumcised and it was me with the problem.
It was as if the frenulum (piece of skin attaching the head of the penis to your actual skin) was really tight.
I only noticed this problem when I was 16 and decided to do something about it by the time I was 17.
I really didn't want to go to the doctors about it, as I was way to embarrassed and thought the only solution was circumcision which I didn't want. But I'd, had enough of it and booked an appointment.
I popped to the doctors by myself, told him my problem and he refered me to the 'Urology' section at the hospital. With a description of my problem.
A few weeks later I popped down to see this Doctor at the hospital.
Was no problem at all. He took a look at my penis and said that circumcision wasn't needed.
It was an operation called 'Frenuloplasty'. This is basically where they cut that piece of skin so it allows the foreskin to retract without no pain whatsoever.
I found that the cause of the pain is because my 'Frenulum' was too tight.
So retracting my foreskin pulled it even tighter causing quite a bit of pain.
So I booked in for the appointment straight away for this small operation.
Had a little wait and then went to the hospital.
Got put to sleep. Woke up and was all done :-)
All done in about 30 minutes.
Had to hang around to recover from the anesthetic as I was a bit sleepy.
Then left the hospital.
All done within about 4 hours. Amazing
4 Hours for a massive change to your life.
I was then given some pain killers. But there was no pain.
There was 6 dissolvable stitches i think which all dissolved within 7-10 days.
And then after 3 weeks I was back in action. 6 weeks and fully healed.
Amazing.
My foreskin is still a bit tight because it needs to stretch. But this is because it's never been retracted before. Only before with pain.
But now, no pain at all.
I highly recommend this if anyone has the same problem.
And don't be embarresed at all.
I regret not going earlier. The doctors have dealt with this problem thousands of times. It's their job.
Reply to this if you have anymore questions.
Thanks

To all the posters do please contact your doctors. They have seen it all. In many cases the tightness is called "phimosis" which affects some 15% of men. This means that there is a tight ring at the top of the foreskin and there is very little that can be done manually. It really does need attention by a doctor. The doctor can do one of two things [and it is done with a local anasthetic and does not hurt]. One is a simple slit down it and the other is circumsision. To the guest with husband. Please take your husband to the doctor; after the small operation he will enjoy it with you much more and he will surely enjoy you doing oral!

It's normal, in fact a good thing (I guess) if your foreskin goes back when you have an erection! Don't worry

I have had the same problem. I could retract my foreskin back but until a couple years it started to get tighter. It came to the point where it completely covered the head. Just like you sex was really painful, I didn't want to tell my girlfriend because I was embarassed. But than it came to the point where it would really hurt to pee and I had enough so I went to the doctor. I had phmosis and suggested curcumsicion. I asked for a different option and he prescribed a cream. I have been using it for a couple months now and it's working slowly my foreskin is getting looser and I can retract it but it's still tight. To anyone with any health problems please go see a doctor I was scared, nervous, embarrassed, and so on. But I put it all aside and now glad I did.

Before taling any sort of decision involving surgery (which is hardly ever necessary - and often bitterly regretted afterwards), google norm-uk, a charity organisation which specialises in foreskin problems and especially offers advice to those who feel really bad about being circumcised.

I agree completely with Khaz. Norm-uk is a brilliant charity and they can give specialist advice on this sort of thing for free even if your from the US.

Wow, a lot of very interesting posts. I think many of the younger guys must have had father's who were circumcised back before people knew better and just didn't know what to tell their sons about the foreskin from lack of experience. So to all who wish to know, read on....
First and foremost. Your penis is a SEX ORGAN. It is there for the purposes of sex/reproduction/pleasure. If it weren't you wouldn't have one. Using it to pee is totally secondary to it's true purpose. Also, It is important to remember that there is tremendous variation in the appearance of both the penis and foreskin. If the only penis you have ever seen is your own take time to look online at images of other men so you can contrast and compare.
Second. You do not need to be circumcised! If someone tells you you do, even if it's a doctor, get a second opinion. NO ONE NEEDS TO BE CUT there are other options. Men who are circumcised later on in life almost universally agree that it greatly diminishes the positive sensations associated with the sexual act and that makes perfect sense, "less skin=less sensation" DO NOT LET THEM CIRCUMCISE YOU!
Third. Smeg, the white cheesy stuff, is just fine. Don't pick it off dry. You clean it off in the shower with warm water. Hold your penis with one or both hands, retract your foreskin back as far as you can, step under the warm water of the shower, gently rub your thumb over the head of your penis. This may hurt at first but it will become more and more pleasurable each time until finally it feels good to clean yourself and you can use it as an opportunity to masturbate in the shower. You do not need to use soap when you clean your penis, warm water alone is perfectly fine. If you do choose to use soap when cleaning your genitals remember it can make your skin feel dry or otherwise uncomfortable afterwards, so be sure to rinse completely to get it all off to prevent skin irritation.
If you do not or have not yet begun to have vaginal or otherwise penetrative intercourse on a regular basis, and, you do not fully retract your foreskin during masturbation (allowing it to roll up and down over the head of your penis while erect) the head of your penis will remain hyper-sensitive. For some young men it is so sensitive if feels painful. Do not worry. This is normal. If your not bleeding your probably OK, so relax, go slow and learn how to make it feel good. The friction from directly touching and rubbing the exposed head of your penis during masturbation and/or intercourse will slowly desensitize it over a period of several months. Don't worry about this either! This minor desensitization is a gradual process that transforms the way various types of stimulation feel over time, from, "That's so sensitive, it hurts to touch it" to "That's so sensitive, it feels amazing please don't stop!" Might as well sit back and enjoy the ride.
I'm not trying to be crude or anything. Far from it. That's why you have a foreskin. It's for SEX and you have to "break it in" first. Your masturbation techniques are very important here and serve a key developmental purpose. Think of masturbating as a workout for your penis, as training your penis how you want it to work, as training yourself how to pleasure your sex partners by lasting longer/performing better, AND THEN for the pleasure/orgasms. Enjoy all of it.
As you begin to masturbate and have sex more often the opening of your foreskin will naturally stretch making it easier to retract. So long as you retract your foreskin back as far as it will go before pulling it up again to roll over and cover the head of your penis as your primary masturbatory technique. Oral sex works even better for this process of gradually desensitizing the head of your penis and stretching the opening of your foreskin but you have to find someone willing to help you for that one. Once you do, retract your foreskin as far back as you can manage without pain and allow your partner to proceed, keeping your skin retracted during. Odds are you can find a friend to help you with this. When I was a young my best friend was circumcised and obviously I am not. We would take turns satisfying each other orally after school (usually twice each) until we got older and started dating girls. This didn't make or turn us gay so don't worry about that. We were just both smart enough at a very young age to know getting 2 secret BJ's a day from your male best friend is better than not getting any BJ's at all. If you don't have someone to help, continue masturbating often, at least once a day, using the full retract, roll back up, and repeat technique as described.
You may be asking: How can you tell if your doing it wrong and what will happen if you do not use a good masturbatory technique? If you masturbate by NOT retracting your foreskin but, rather allow it to remain covering the head of your penis while you stroke yourself silly, finish as fast as possible, all the while leaving your glans covered, until you eventually ejaculate inside your skin sheath. Then you are doing it wrong. Obviously, the opening will not expand, retracting your foreskin will remain tight/painful, and the head of your penis will remain hyper-sensitive. That combination will not only make your early sexual encounters uncomfortable and sometimes painful but also guarantee that you will be remembered as one of the worst lovers your sex partner will ever encounter. You don't want to be that guy.
In summery, Your penis was made for sex and pleasure. Your foreskin is the best part of your penis and is easy to clean, keep it. Frequent masturbation using appropriate technique and/or sex with a partner will over time cause physical changes to your foreskin and to the head of your penis that allow sex to be more pleasurable. And, Jerking off is your opportunity to practice and get good at sex before you have it.

Not really, you need to do some stretching exercises to be able to retract your foreskin back.
I found a good technique is to pull the foreskin back as far as you can before feeling any pain, and then return it. Start again, but this time try to go a little bit further. Repeat as long as you can be bothered. Its usually easier to do this in the bath or the shower as it softens the skin.
You should be careful though to not force your foreskin anywhere. There is a chance that it could get trapped behind the glans, paraphimosis. If this happens you should squeeze your glans and pull the foreskin back into place before swelling makes it impossible and a trip to A&E (or the ER) is required. Not something to worry about, just something to be aware of; if your careful and don't force it anywhere you should be ok.

And if your foreskin is really tight, it can take months to be able to retract it more or less comfortably behind glans, depending of course how often you stretch it. Don't be hasty and be careful not to injure yourself.
I have the impression that it is quite uncommon that one's foreskin is so tight that it really requires circumcision and no stretching or other procedures will help. For example, in my country where non-medical circumcision is practically illegal (muslims and jews are in a grey area), only like 2-3% of male children are circumcised because of medical reasons.

A tight foreskin is the result of unaware parents make there boys stop masturbating by calling things that there will grow hair on your hands and all sort of nonsense like you will go blind there is no short cut for it unless you wil go for circumcision the only other way is the natural way masturbating morning noon and night the more you do it the better so that the skin can stretch it self to retract over the glans masturbate hard with long strokes soon you will see the difference unfortunately the skin is groan fast on the glans so you have to tear it bit for bit the glans is sensitive where the tear take place but just put on Vaseline. The white cheesy stuff on the head the other guy speaking of is normal it is there to keep the Glans healthy and must be washed with soap and water every day. The small little white eyes on the head of the other guy is Small little glands they produced this milky cheesy stuff on the glans some guys glands is visible others not.

I'm 17 and evn I have a long foreskin as I wasn't circumcised by birth. Well I tried pulling over my foreskin back a few days back but it wasn't of much pain accept when my penis got erect I felt a bit tight. So is it normal as its first time or is it something to worry. Its really very embarassing to talk on this matter with parents. Please let me know about what should I do.
