Okay, so I lost my virginity a few days ago (June 29th, to be exact) & to start off let me say the pain -- the pain was so immense it felt as if a train was trying to pass through! I know that with almost every girl there's pain involved in her first time and my best friend who, completely coincidently, lost her virginity a few days before me told me that the pain for her was indescribable.. There was doubts that I would feel much pain as I'm one of those weird type of people who enjoy certain types of pain--hey! I said I was weird!-- & not just that but another one of my best friends who lost hers a few months into 2011 said for her there was no pain upon penetration but that afterwards she walked like a lopsided duck! So I figured with both of them as references and the fact that I'm pretty tolerant to pain I would probably be somewhere in the middle--some pain, but nothing I couldn't handle. I was crazy. Stupid and crazy and dumb and obviously didn't know the true meaning of what it was to be in pain. But I learned that day! Like I said, I knew pain came with the whole "losing your virginity" process, but nothing ever prepared me for that! Anyway, during intercourse, after the pain subsided, it began to get really enjoyable but that, too, came to a halt when he asked me to get on top. As I did and we were 'going at it' he noticed that I was bleeding and so we stopped. Now, I also knew that that might be a possibility of happening because of the hymen breaking and "cherry popping" and it was only a small amount of blood so it didn't really concern me. Until yesterday (July 3rd) we tried again to see of this time we could go all the way. All was going as planned until, once again, I got on top but this time the blood flow was so heavy he thought I was on or started my period (which I had not to both). He was very understanding and told me not to worry about it but for me it was so incredibly embarrassing! I don't understand why I bled the second time around and why there was so much blood. Is it possible that the first time my body was just getting used to sex and the second time was really when I broke my hymen/had my "cherry popped"? I just want to know of I should expect to bleed every time I engage in intercourse & does this happen to anybody else? And if so, what did you do and do you know what was happening? *Sidenote: I am 17, and even though I am young, my mom is very open when it comes to talking about sex (even though I am not) & I know what I got myself into and waited until I knew I was ready and out of high school to think about sex (success to both!). I'm mature beyond my years and made sure that I really love the guy I lost my virginity to and that if the worst case scenario (pregnancy) were to happen he would be there and take responsibility and own up to the consequences succeeding our actions. Oh, Happy 4th of July to everyone! :)
