Hi, I would like you to clear something up for me. I have had a lump on my testicle for three and a half years. It doesn't bother me in any way. I doesn't hurt, or swell; in fact I hardly notice it. Recently, I have heard that testicle lump is a symptom of testicular cancer. Is it possible that I might have it? I am thirty years old.

In like any other form of cancer, the abnormal cell growth causes the testicular cancer too. A lump on your testicle may be a result of that. You should know that this type of cancer might be followed by a dull ache in the lower abdomen. Think back and try to remember if you felt this kind of pain since the lump appeared. The most diagnosed patients are between the age of twenty and thirty four. So it looks like you might have something to worry about. On the up side, testicular cancer is one of the most treatable cancers, with cure rates going to ninety percent, if diagnosed on time. Now, all this being said I am sure that you won't wait another minute to see a doctor.
