Back in 1972, I suffered a miscarriage, in fact it was my second one, but the first one I lost in the toilet, the second one I carried a while longer, and then it died inside of me, the Doctor had to abort it, while in the hospital my blood was typed, they told me I was a RH Negative B, Blood factor, and 9 times out of 10 an RH Negative woman will miscarry! I started having ovary problems two years later, and had to have my right ovary removed, so I never became pregnant again! I was adopted at one month old, so I don’t know my biological history! I find the list interesting of the traits a RH Negative woman has, there are many that I have, that are on the list! For instance, I have red hair, green eyes, I am sensitive to sunlight, I have acid reflux, and I have (I think) Skleroderma, but I haven’t been to a specialist to get it confirmed, but my family physician thinks it is, she ran a test to see if it was Lupus, but I tested negative for it! Sores appear on my legs and arms, sometimes on my face, a clear thick liquid comes out of them, and it takes many months, even years for them to go away, and some never have gone away!

Kristi , wow !!! Yes praise the Lord , I too have had these speculations almost EXACTLY as what others have written! My mother and aunt are both rh negative and both have auto immune disorders , my cousin as well , but isn't diagnosed . I have researched and contemplated many factors that I just want to chart out or survey everyone on . My mother , cousin and aunt had the shots as well while they were pregnant. Hmm .

Hi. I have just discovered the RH factor and have been reading of all the different takes on it's origin and what it means today. This is by far the most relevant discussion. Hi. I have A- and i also have Lupus, and likely RA, and had several miscarriages. My daughter is 23. Then the trouble began shortly after. I was told i had mono and the ebv virus had caused it. Turns out i never had mono of course. As you know, it takes a while to diagnose lupus. But God blessed me with my son eventually. He is awesome. He has asbergers syndrome but he is the most perfect little boy for me and he is RH-. My mother is RH- and lost her middle child due to the medical staff not administering the shot. She has RA, Diabetes, and now Parkinson's but thankfully it is progressing very slowly.

I look forward to reading more from this thread. I'm dying to know if it is all connected.

I absolutely agree! I had zero health issues until after I had my children. They thought I had lupus but now are positive it’s systemic sclerosis. I’m starting stem cell therapy in March and I scared to death. There is no cure. My body is attacking my internal organs and joints. This will kill me.

Hello, I was just diagnosed with schleroderna the systematic kind. I don’t have any sores or the skin issues except for some dry skin on my elbow and my feet get awful now. There is a blood test that tests for the antibody. I would love to swap info with you.

I have discoid lupus, severe eczema dermatitis of the hands and feet and am Rh negative. I had no idea there was any connection with the two. I have a very low WBC, nearly neutropenic. But I am seldom ill with anything, which my dermatologist is amazed at. I have seen an oncologist who has warned me that any illness could be very severe. My lupus is presently in remission and I have no symptoms of it at present. My dermatitis became very severe this winter, but is now nearly resolved as well. All of these symptoms seem to cycle. It is very interesting. I am an RN so have worked in healthcare all of my life.

I have A- blood type and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis a few years back. My mother has Wegener’s Granulomatosis (rare autoimmune disease) and I believe she has Rh negative. I’ve recently been looking into blood types and the common differences. I read an article by NIH stating that it appears (but not officially proven) that Rh negative blood types are prone to certain diseases, mental health issues, gastrointestinal problems, and autoimmune diseases. So interesting!!!

Interesting. I was just having this discussion with my mom. I am O- and while I have not been diagnosed yet with an autoimmune disorder I have tested high for ANA levels repeatedly. I rarely get sick and live in nasty cold Michigan. I had the stomach flu about 7 years ago and prior to that had it when I was a junior in high school (I am 44 now). I don't ever recall having the true "flu" that people talk about. I did have strep throat a few times as a kid, but who didn't?! Lol. Its an interesting subject and wish there would be more research done to see if there is much correlation.
