Men Group Showers

Hi, I am a footballer and I know something about these things. Well this is nothing uncommon for me and I did this a lot of times with my teammates. We are all sure in our sexuality and we don’t have anything to be ashamed of. We just took a shower and that is it. I mean that isn’t a big deal.

I'm 13, and we have to take showers for gym. It's really not that big of deal, and it's not really that bad once you do it a few times...(it might just be because I've known everybody since we were really little). Some people refuse to shower though, I don't see what's so bad about it.

I'm 16 and like you (the original poster) I'm quite shy...

I have never had to take group showers with my friends, but occasionally (at resorts) I have had to get changed into a bathing suit; but typically I either change in the rooms we have (before going to the pool house) or I change as fast as possible in a little corner.

I think a lot of people who use group showers have the mentality that it is just a shower, and nothing more.

I am definatley agreeing with them that it is a shower, and nothing more, but I just think it would create a lot of awkwardness between people.

Also, a lot of people are nervous about getting an erection/boner in the shower with their friends there.

If you want to try to do group showers, go to a pool (like the Y) ,and change in your bathing suit and shower with your friends a few times (even if they are naked). That way, you get used to their nudity and if you do get an erection, the bathing suit will cover it up.

Talk to your friends (or teammates) about it if they ask why you're wearing a suit.

Then, if you're feeling confident and think you've gotten used to seeing your mates naked, just do the same thing you always do just without the suit.

My advice may not be much help, but I hope it is.

I have a question: My best friend and I are in our 60's and go swimming alot. Recently his grandson visited him and we went swimming--We had fun His grandson is 12 But when changing in the locker room the boy closed his eyes and even covered them---and said in a very frightened voice "I can't see men naked" He was really scared. Otherwise he is fun and easy going. What do you think would cause such a reaction? I doubt theree si any religion that prohibits same sex sight------I would like your opinion Thanks

I have had to take group showers since 7th grade.....no big deal....what most guys do not realize being seen naked with with a soft penis is really meaningless ... no real relationship to erect size....so...? We had girls invade our football showers after practice .....none of us covered up.....you are a guy!

Not apropriate , if guys went into the girls locker room while they were showering could be arrested.

Crikey, back in the 60's when i was at school we all got in the communal shower and thought nothing of it.

in school we HAD to take showers after gym class. They were communial showers, everyone showered and dried off a few guys would clown around but not too much. I am now a nudist and do not mind being naked in front of other men and woman. Although our Y has showers with curtains some men close curtains some leave them open

It is true. If these guys invaded a locker room full of naked girls like the girls invaded their locker room, they would, most likely, be facing serious, and possibly life long, legal consequences. This could also be possible for these girls, but more likely, they will be told something like, "Naughty, naughty! I should spank every one of you for that."
The guys were right to play it cool. If I could have the guys act as one, I would have them not block the exits, but crowd them so the girls would have to pass very close to some naked guys to get out. That should creep them out. Sorry guys, you don't get to initiate any touching, but they may have to touch you while squeezing by to get out. I can think of a couple of one-liners and a much longer masterpiece of guy-wit if the girls stick around long enough for you to engage them; "Have you found what you were looking for? "You seeing me like this reminds me of something I've been wanting to see for a long time." "Usually, when the boys and girls have to share the same locker room, they let one sex out before the allow the other in. If you are in a big hurry, get undressed and we should be finished with the showers about the time you get there. Better yet, I always have trouble reaching my back to scrub it and it seems too gay to ask the other guys to do it. But you doing it sounds great and there's always enough room in the showers for one more, so just step right on in and you can scrub my back, and then I'll scrub yours. It should be the best shower we've both bad in years!

I personally think it’s according to the person’s conscience. Violating an individual’s sense of what’s right and wrong differs between the personalities.

I did not like changing in locker rooms at all as a kid and it was traumatic.

I was incredibly nervous about getting an erection. Every time. I couldn’t relax I could not talk to anyone, it was terrible for me from Junior High through College. I thought even half an erection would get me beat up. Truamatizing.
