Hey there,
I hope I am quick enough…
With skiing meniscus tear is very possible. Most surely he bent his knee joint and then twisted the knee.
Primary symptoms of meniscus tear are swelling and pain. Some experience inability to completely straighten the joint; some people feel popping or clicking within the knee. In every case, motion of the knee joint is very limited.
Your father shall probably get a plaster and after he removes it, he’ll have to attend therapies (massages…). This accident shall probably effect few years of his skiing in the future.
