i had an ablation in 2010. Best thing ever. All has been fine. Not a single spot. No periods ever - like Christmas every month. But a weird thing happens every couple of months. When I go to the bathroom, it SMELLS like the menstrual blood I used to expel. No foul odors, just the typical ammonia- like scent. That's it. I'm just wondering what it could be. I haven't had my hormones checked in about 4 years and I was told then the one test indicated I wasn't peri. But my gut, and my genetics tell me otherwise. (My mother was all finished by 43. I'm 49 in June). I know I should get checked again to see where I am in the spectrum. The scent lasts maybe two days at most. Usually just one.  Not a problem. Just a mystery. Any insight would be great. Thanks!!!!!
