I had the Nova sure surgery 4 weeks ago and I tried having sex and it was horrible. It felt different for me and my husband. It felt very dry, hollow and uncomfortable. We tried twice and it was the same. Anyone experience this after surgery or have any idea how long this would last? What is going on with my body. I am just not into sex and my husband is very supportive and say it is going to be alright but I really do not know. Help with advice.

I had an ablation less than 10 days ago and had no restrictions placed on me. I felt better a mere 6 hours after the actual procedure. My husband and I have started having sexual relations again, and since I feel better, intimacy is better for both of us. If you are experiencing painful or uncomfortable intercourse you should consult your OB/GYN or the physician that performed the procedure and follow whatever instructions they give you. Giving yourself time to recover from any surgery is always good advice and recovery is different for everyone. Good luck and I hope things turn around for you.

my periods were a nightmare from hell, at the age of 30 I had 14-15-16 periods a year, a doctor did a bypsy and no bleeding disorder. so I did depo shots. a period for 2 monthes what a nightmare, stopped that then it stoppd then came back with revenge. once a month of sex was a enough. at the age of 41 a doctor offered me a new procedure it was a ablation, a friend of mine told me to talk to my doctor. well I was fell up with the water works with my period, I talked to my husband he gave me his opinion and I told him I was gonna do it no matter what. so April of 2012. after I had the procedure done my sex life is great. I also had the Ablation worse thing I ever did, my husband and I asked the Gyno if this is likely for me to lose my sex drive? He said no well, how bloody wrong was he I have no sex drive and when we do it it is so painful and it has been over a year.
Any advice? I think it caused my menapause the night sweat and everything that goes with it. My regret is I should have google it first

I had the nova sure procedure 10 months ago. I had some light spotting around the normal period schedule for about 7 months. It stopped (for good I guess) 2 months ago. Super happy about that, but about the same time my periods finally stopped completely, I started having more frequent hot flashes & night sweats and my sex drive is very low. Sex is not painful or unpleasant, but my drive just isn't there.

I've just had this procedure ten month ago ! I too asked my doctor if this would affect my sex drive as I had a high one and my partner is ten year young ! I too have a dry vagina and no sex drive well I'll b suing because I was told no infront of the nurse I'm due to see him next month

I too am suffering from no sex drive after ablation 2 months ago. I use to want to have sex with my husband all the time now I have no interest. I don't know what to do but it's starting to weigh on him and after being to gether for 21 years Ive always been so attractive to him. I'm only 37 I'm in my prime we should be banging like bunnies!! I regre this surgery I really do.
