My friend experienced mild chest discomfort after running. He runs with local triathlon club every day. I don’t know if it is because of his age (43) or sudden start with diet and exercising, but I am afraid of possible heart attack. What are the signs of heart attack?

It is so nice that you are concerned for your friend. Here are some signs of possible heart attack: (mild) chest discomfort, mostly in the centre of the chest that lasts for more than a few minutes; discomfort in other areas in upper body (arms, neck, back, jaw, stomach); shortness of breath often with chest discomfort or before. Advice your friend to see a cardiologist if he plans to be an active runner.
