First off, I’m a 23 year old male, in average physical condition. ok, starting about id say February or so of 2006 I started getting this lower back pain, its not sharp or anything just there (it feels like you need to pop your back or something, a pressure I guess), and very uncomfortable. I forget how long that lasted. But then it started to it seemed to be in my right testicle and right upper thigh. Not intense, but discomfort none the less. That went on for several months before I decided to go to the doctor (no health insurance) end of July. I told him my symptoms, he gave mea prostate exam and took a urine sample. he told me I had prostatiti, the symptoms are very very close. almost identical. there were red and white blood cells in my urine, and he said yeast was there too, not sure why. (he told me it would have been a std or something, but I hadn’t had sex for almost 2 years prior, and i used protection. so i doubted that was what it was from)
so he gave me a prescription for antibiotics, for 2 weeks. forget the name, but they were 100mg twice a day. after a day or two on them they almost went away, only having slight discomfort about 5 days before i went back. then i was fine. this was august 8th of my checkup. my urine was cleared up, nothing showed up. i went to Florida for a week, from aug 21st to the 25th, nothing. but about a week ago, it came back. and it seems like it started up where it left off.
Symptoms that seem to be more noticeable this time is when I ejaculate, it feels like there is still some in there (I know that may sound weird but that’s the best way I know to describe it) which may be due to it appearing to be clumpier than it use to be. I also appear to be more tired and fatigued lately. I do not know if this is my own mind playing tricks on me or not but it appears symptoms show up less when I drink a lot of water (3 or so plus) and do a lot of movement outside (working outside, etc) its usually a lot more noticeable when I’m sitting down or laying down in bed. The discomfort was not horrendous but not enjoyable a few minutes ago so I got up and decided to do some research. I included everything I could remember, but will add more when I think of it. It is after all 1am. Since starting to type this, the discomfort has gone away, it’s almost always worse if I lay down. The doctor said if I go back and the symptoms return he will send me to an urologist (not normally an issue, but that whole no insurance issue complicates things). I did not see my normal doctor, as he was out of town and it was bugging the hell out of me, was I misdiagnosed? What else could it be? I am getting drained worrying about this, which i'm sure is not helping my health.
Also, could someone reccomend a good health insurance company, that does not overcharge you and actually pays for visits.
