few months back suffered from bad epsisode of cystitis; Took antibiotics but continue to have symptoms - need to go to loo often burning sensation in my urethra and pain and soreness when having sex. After sex I feel the need to go to the loo every 5 mins. Did a urine test to make sure it wasn't cystitis infact it was negative. Have now noticed mucuos in my urine, the doctor thought it could be due to vaginal thrush but have been tested and am negative. Yesterday I actually saw this mucuos coming out of my urethra at the end of peeing. Am really worried could I have an std? Was tested for chlamydia years back but was negative and am married and have not had any ther men since. could the chlamydia test have been a false negative. What other stds give these symptoms? Can any one give me any suggestions am rellay worried.

I often have these problems, like I am passing slimy urine with the unpleasant odor. This was happening for days until I eventually decided to do some urine tests, urine culture in particular to determine if I had some bacterium present in my urine. But the results came out negative and I was even more confused. I started to feel the abdominal pains and from time to time I was having chills and the urge to urinate was becoming bigger so I consulted my doctor and she told me these could be the symptoms of some kidney infection or kidney stones. I was supposed to do the blood tests and have the ultrasound but the symptoms finally resided and I thought there was no need to do them, which was a stupid thing to do though. I hope you will be smarter than me and do everything that your doctor says, the early diagnose and the immediate treatment would do the best.
If you ever happen to have the kidney stones, these could be treated without the surgery, that’s good news. The stones could be moved out from the body by drinking plenty of liquids, but if this ever happens to be more severe, the surgery might be unavoidable.
