You should go see an acupuncturist. I know a number of people who've had serious issues like you describe and acupuncture has helped. You should expect to see the acupuncturist for a while, but if you stay with it, I think it will help. All the medications are difficult and hard on a person's system.

Why dont most of you try to find out your gut flora. Check out the book ' Clean Gut ' Get blood test for bacteria an perisites . Get urine and blood test for electrolytes . Don't just blow it off if they say oh it's average. If some are off it can make a difference. Magnesium is huge! Start slow work up to 400 to 1000 . It will make you have runny bowl movements if you take to much. Some of you will have to do it when you aren't experiencing diarrhea .Then just back off but keep taking for ever! Kefir probiotic drink is great. I would definitely think your good bacteria is low. START SLOW SLOW ! So you don't have More trouble . At first you might get little more diarrhea till your body adjusts . I mean like 3 tablespoons a day at first. Then work up to what is recommended. It is lactase free. If you can't do dairy then research other top probiotics . There's good ones you don't have to refrigerate . I am having health issues myself. I just had a bad food poising exsperiance . At the end of it the bloody mucus tissue like stuff started coming. An continued for few days .Had to wear pad like many of you. Now this is also huge. ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IS YOUR BLOOD PH . If you are below 7.0 don't let them tell you it's not a big deal. You DONT want to be acidic for any of the problems your describing . Drinking fresh squeezed lemon juice in morning is great. Stay neutral or mildly alkaline. So many long term illnesses are caused by high acidic levels and lack of good bacteria. Do research on the Internet for all the above information. Don't buy products from the site your getting info from. There is a lot of good info on some of these sites but there trying to sell you something also. Go into research sites go to Dr oz show site. Then go to amazon see what people are saying an compare prices. Then the bodybuilding web site. Yes because it lists what the top selling products out there and peoples reviews . We all different so just start one thing at a time so you know if you have problem what's causing it. An last trace minerals are so important . Calcium is huge, it helps with acids an oxygen in blood. Don't take it with other vitamins it blocks the absorption of some things. Look into zink also very important. Most people find if they take it will eating some kind of protein it doesn't upset their tummy. I believe in prescriptions if you have to. I am on one for the rest of my life for Thyroid Complications. But I have had a lot of problems since I have been on them. Problems I have never had so don't tell me prescriptions are the same as your natural body, Problems with fungus bacterial stuff in my blood an good bacteria in my gut and acid or high PH. So it can't hurt to try these natural things. But again DON'T go over board . See what your doctor says even though many don't think theses things are not important. Check interactions with the Meds your on!!! I feel so bad for all of you we all deserve a good quality of life. People who are healthy just can't understand. Even keeping a job is tuff with these issues, Or a relationship. Hope this helps good luck,

I need help. I have been battling diarrhea for over 5 years now, I am 36. Within the past 2 years it has gotten progressively worse. I cannot go out to eat or eat at a family member's house on holidays with the fear that I can't make it back home before the "big explosion". I constantly have stomach cramps that I am doubled over in pain, cold sweats and completley fatigued. I have had a colonoscopy, Barium X-ray, tested for parasites, and multiple blood tests. Everything came back negative. I have gone on the FODMAPS diet and on a gluten free diet, this did not help. I started having blood in my stool that increasingly got worse and looks like chunky red tissue. My GI told me that I cannot be bleeding because my hemoglobin test came back PERFECT! So, my GI wanted me to provide several stool samples and when the Hemocult results came back, they were ALL positive for blood. So, all this to say that because my GI does not know what is wrong AND admitted it, he is putting me on meds to "stop me up" and "hoping" the bleeding goes away. The only option I see is to get a 2nd opinion so I called to set one up. They said that they would be glad to do so, but ALL the tests and procedures will most likely HAVE to be done AGAIN by the new GI doctor! I am at a loss and VERY concerned for my health.

Anyway, your story has been the closest to what I feel I'm experiencing and it was helpful to hear what treatment you have had. I have amazing insurance but hate docs so I haven't even gotten myself a primary care physician.... yes, I am now taking care of that expeditiously! I know your post is from quite a while ago but thought I'd shout out anyway. Best of luck and hope your feeling well these days.
