I am on Statins for high cholecterol. I think I am experinceing side effects from statins. I’ve been having muscle pains in arms and legs for about 10 now. I think it is from the drug? Is it possible?

Statins block an enzyme the body needs to produce cholesterol and it has few side effects; common are: fatigue, upset stomach, gas, constipation, and abdominal pain or cramps. Also Liver enzymes may rise to more than 3 times their normal levels while a person is taking statins, but stopping the drug usually causes the level to fall back to normal. Muscle pain is a very rare side effect and I think you should immediately report any muscle pain, weakness, or brown urine to your doctor. You may be having some reaction.
