This has been going on for a week now. I have been having pain whenever i try to poop. Its a pain like a stinging feeling and when i wipe there is blood on the paper and sometimes theres like a mucus kind of blood. It also feels like if the poops is ripping something. Its kinda worrying me now. I am also on my period so its kinda hard to tell where the blood is coming from. I gave birth a month ago to my first child and just had an IUD put on last week, so i am wondering if maybe that has to do with anything???

It sounds like you may have ripped that anal opening at some point. This may have happened when you gave birth and didn't realize it. It's possible you have an infection there which might account for the mucus. It should be somewhat painful when undigested material tries to pass out. The fact that you just had an IUD put in may also suggest you have some bleeding from the cervical canal. This happens sometimes. I suggest you have another visit with your doctor for both conditions to make sure you don't end up with long term problems. I know that's got to be very uncomfortable.
