Hello. I'm 22 year old female and I would like to be more informed about some medical and esthetical problem.
About three months ago I started to grow my finger nails and I was very happy with the effect in the beginning because they were a pretty neat fashion detail.
But after a months or so, the started to curl downwards. What this could mean. I didn’t consider this to be something serious but a friend told me that this could be caused by some serious medical problem and that many diseases start like this. Please tell me this isn’t true.
If anyone knows maybe more about this- feel free to write about it!

I think your friend just wanted to scar you. I don’t know any serious disease that starts with finger nails curling and I doubt there was any.
It sounds to me like your nails are dehydrated and that simple hydrating cream could solve your problem.
Finger nails curling can be also caused with the lack of vitamin B12. So some supplements of vitamin B12 should be enough. Think about a check-up and take your vitamins regularly.
Sometimes that kind of curling is hereditary and nothing you do could solve this problem! In this case, you should try to repair them because it is not connected with the lack of vitamins or dehydration.
